I myself would have chosen black if I bought myself an iPhone. Although wait, I bought it! The thing is that gold is for true rappers and ultra-fashionable Chinese, pink is clear with it, and I don't like white because its body distracts from what is happening on the screen. There are no such problems with black - the frames seem to dissolve and you do not notice them.

When the display is off, the front panel looks monolithic. One gets the feeling that the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe front side is the display. It looks cool!

I will not describe the nuances of ergonomics, how there is what lies in the hand, and so on. I will just say that the user experience from using the 7 is very similar to using the 6 or 6S. Apple hasn't changed the dimensions of new products by a millimeter.

But Apple in this case is overboard with its plus. The SIM card tray remains where it was before. We will not see Dual SIM in the iPhone yet.

I left the cherry for dessert. I'm talking about protection from moisture and dust, of course. Supports IP67 standard, which in theory implies immersion in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. However, Apple decided to be cautious and called this feature as "splash protection".

As expected, I did not meet a hint of brakes. The FPS frequency is maximum, there are no drawdowns at all.

As always, Apple devices keep the high brand of smartphones for games.

AnTuTu, the one that is App Store, it did not start for me. Crashes constantly.

There is also nothing special to say about the work of animation in the interface. Everything flies, switches between applications instantly.

The novelty received 2 GB random access memory from Samsung of the LPDDR4 standard. By the way, the 7 Plus has 3 gigabytes of memory of the same type. These volumes are more than enough for iOS. Applications work in the background and do not interfere with each other, a bunch of tabs hang in the Safari browser and none of them reloads when you switch to it - what more could you want?

But everything is known about the built-in memory. Now it's 32 GB, 128 or as much as 256 GB, which is more than enough for all your files. The storage manufacturer, by the way, is Toshiba.

I had a 32 gig version. In fact, about 23 GB is free. The rest is busy, do not understand what, including the OS and standard utilities.

The 128 GB model has approximately 75 GB of free space. I don't know where all these 50 GB disappeared, but you need to be prepared for this. I can't say anything about the older modification - the 256-gig version did not fall into my hands.

On the last vacation, my wife and I took both a camera (Sony NEX5) and a smartphone, which it turned out to be. So it turned out that the "fifth" shoots, if not better, then certainly not worse. And in some places it is much more convenient - pointed and removed. No need to move the lever to the ON position, remove the lens cap, put it in your pocket, set the M mode, then aperture, ISO - in general, creepy.

So what I mean is that when traveling and just in life, a camera in a phone is very important. And even more so when it is one of the most popular smartphones on the planet, and even more so a front camera.

The front camera has received an updated matrix. The image resolution has grown from 5 Mp to 7 Mp (3088 × 2320). It is clear that the focus is fixed, but the other, perhaps, is not needed for the front camera.

I would really like the screams of the company's fans to be justified and iPhone camera 7 became the best. I really hoped for this, and after testing the photographic part of the device, I came to the following conclusion.

Here we still have 12 megapixels (4032 × 3024 pixels), which are covered with a six-element lens. Optical stabilization has appeared, which is available both in photo mode and for shooting video. This feature has crawled over from the Plus versions, which, however, was expected.

The lens began to let in more light - now the aperture is f / 1.8, versus f / 2.2. This way, the background blur will be slightly prettier. Actually, let's see how it looks.

By the way, the built-in camera here is exactly the same as on the iPhone 7 Plus. It's just that there's another one with a telephoto lens.

A four-tone flash was placed next to the camera's eye: two light and two orange LEDs together give 50% more light.

About the quality of my pictures special claims no. Detail, saturation, HDR work in automatic mode - everything works great. The photos are very high quality.

Particularly pleased with the automation, which itself selects the necessary settings in each specific case and almost always hits the target.

I can't judge if the iPhone 7's camera is the best on the market. Still, to make such a conclusion, you need to compare the photographic parts head to head, and so on. I don't have all these devices at hand, so I'll just say that the mass consumer has plenty of built-in camera capabilities.

However, there is something that confuses me in almost all pictures. It is a subtle yellow-greenish tinge that is present in 95% of cases. In HDR mode, it is generally always.

It is found even in those photos that are present on the manufacturer's official page. I look at examples of photographs from the same and cannot find such a greenish fog coming from nowhere.

In addition, I was pleased with the autofocus. He always focuses very quickly and tenaciously on any objects.

In a dark room, when there is trouble with light, it focuses for a long time - a couple of seconds. However, the first time the autofocus captured the desired subject. Here are some examples.

I would like to note that night shots are of very good quality. Shumodav perfectly removes multi-colored ripples that can appear from high ISO values. However, the photos come out with good detail and do not look like a watercolor daub. For work in the night conditions, the iPhone 7 camera has a separate thumbs up.

Video recording

The smartphone can record 4K videos. In this case, the final video resolution is 3840 × 2160 at 30 frames per second.

Apple talks about cinematic video quality. Alas, it is difficult for me to understand what is meant by this concept, but the videos really turn out to be very decent.

Optical stabilization plays an important role in this regard, which is also available during video recording. You cannot specifically enable it somehow - it is always active.

Mode Slow Motion Supports recording at 1920 x 1080 pixels. That's a lot, and the higher the resolution or frame rate, the worse the quality of the captured content. Such is the sad rule.

However, in our case, the video is still very high level... Even action cameras can't shoot Slo-Mo like that.

Software

With the release of each new version iOS Internet filled with job complaints last update... I do not know how 10 behaves there on old iPhones, but I want to contribute my five cents about the software on the new smartphone.

For the most part, everything works well. I caught one rather criminal glitch at the stage of installing programs from the App Store. I have not visited the store for a long time, and during this time the security policy was updated, which I had to familiarize myself with before downloading anything.

The store threw me to the page for acquaintance with the new rules, but the "Accept" button still did not appear.

I also had a bit of a lag when scrolling through the list of TOP applications in the official store.

You scroll down, and the list starts to twitch nervously. Scrolling through again - everything is in order.

These are the few quirks that I have found. Otherwise, everything is in order and everything works fine. If anything, iOS version 10.0.

I won't talk about all the places in the interface, but I tried to check most of the possible situations.

Sound quality

We now have two speakers. They create the desired stereo effect. In general, the quality of the speakers is good. The volume is above average and in noisy places you can distinguish individual sound effects when, for example, you are playing a game.

Now about the sound in the headphones, but first about the headset from the kit, because it's boiling. Apple decided to save money on the accessory when they abandoned the plastic headphone boxes from the kit. Now it is a cardboard box with self-adhesive petals, on which "ears" are wound.

Looks like yes and there is all this is actually very cheap.

On the other hand, you will take it anyway, and Apple saves a pretty penny. True, this penny, taking into account the sales volume, becomes tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

The headphones themselves are still disgusting in the ears. They constantly slip out and in my opinion it is impossible to wear them. Moreover, the sound quality in them is very mediocre. I tried the sound with (hybrid), which cost half the price and sound several times better. Of course, I used the 3.5 mm adapter from the package.

Battery life

1960 mAh is the capacity of the battery installed in the device. The Plus version has a larger battery - 2900 mAh.

In the previous generation (6S) a 1715 mAh battery was installed, and a year earlier the iPhone boasted an 1820 mAh battery. Now there has been a breakthrough and the new product works two hours longer. According to the manufacturer, of course. And besides, there are such official data:

• 14 hours of Internet surfing via Wi-Fi
• 12 Internet via 3G or 4G networks
• 13 hours of wireless video playback
• 10 days standby time (how ?!)

And now about personal impressions. I fully charged the device at 12 noon. At 1 am I already had it almost completely discharged - 12 percent remained. During this time, I drove the smartphone to the tail and mane, so the term "intensive use" fits this situation perfectly.

With a quieter use, you should expect to work for one day, but no more. The rule when we straighten the bed for sleeping, putting the phone on charge will haunt us for a long time.

I am very confused by the fact that the device takes a very long time to charge - it took about two hours for my copy to reach 100 from 12 percent. These are indicators that are already lagging behind the market, because competitors are not asleep and charge 100 percent in an hour and a half, or even less. We remember all the same, which needs only 1 hour and 10 minutes to get full capacity.

Outcome

The new iPhone came out very interesting. I cannot say that this is a revelation for the market. An expected evolution, some elements of which are long overdue (the disappearance of the stripes on the back cover, two speakers, optical stabilization, "solid", read Touch ID, and so on).

I would call the novelty not the iPhone 7, but something like the iPhone 6S 2 or 6SS. He somehow does not pull directly on the new generation. Owners of 6-ok or "six-sok" will notice some changes, but they will not get any extraordinary user experience. I have been using the iPhone 7 for a little over a day now, and it feels like I have it for a couple of months and we have known it for a long time.

But those who missed the 2014 and 2015 updates will be frankly shocked. In a pleasant way, of course. Everything here is new, everything is cool, fast and straight "lashkeri". Personally, I really like 3D Touch and the vibration of the Taptic Engine. Them joint work never ceases to please me.
