Todoist has many advantages - support for more than 10 platforms and 20 languages, easy interaction with other users, convenient synchronization. There is even a special mode called "Karma", in which daily and weekly goals are configured by the number of tasks.

Todoist can rightfully be considered one of top apps  in its segment. However, the possibilities of the free version are somewhat limited here - you cannot use tags, attach files, and only 4 of 10 themes are available.

Also there are restrictions on multi-user work and the number of devices connected to one account. The cost of the annual subscription at the time of this writing was a little over 2 thousand rubles, and there were no other options for upgrading to the Premium account.

On a 5-point scale, Todoist gets 4.6.







Remember the Milk is a task manager with a huge set of tools for effective planning. The application supports cloud sync, as well as tags, custom to-do lists, etc.

To create an account in Remember the Milk will require e-mail. This will not only synchronize data on different devices, but also log in under your account  in the web version of the service.

The interface in Remember the Milk is very convenient and quite stylish, this applies not only to the version for Android. The mobile version of the program is well adapted for touch input - here you can quickly add tasks and edit existing ones.

In the task description, the priority, end date, performer, tags, notes, etc. can be specified. The user also selects a list in which the task will be placed, and in the Pro version subtasks can be added.


  Remember the Milk is not bad for controlling workflows. There are tools for quick sorting and multiplayer interaction when participants share tasks with each other.

In Remember the Milk, all tasks by default are placed in the inbox, unless otherwise noted. In the future, the task can be placed in any user list, associated with contacts or geolocations, and also supplemented the description with tags that make it easy to find the task.

There are no special tools for sorting data in Do it. In fact, everything that is not planned for today moves to tomorrow.

Do it has no folders, custom lists, tags, and more. The application is well suited for those who need, rather than a task manager, but a simple reminder.

The advantages of Do it include compactness and fast data entry. Nevertheless, this does not at all compensate for the significant limitations in terms of functionality. Through the purchase in the application, you can get 3 widgets for the desktop with the sizes 1 * 1, 3 * 3 and 4 * 4, but this practically does not change anything.

Do it does not have a sufficient set of functions to equally with other applications presented in the article. Moreover, even the genre affiliation of the program is questionable, because there are not many means customary for this segment. Do it will surely find its target audience, which will use it as a task manager, but in this review the application receives only 3.8 points out of a possible 5.




To Do List from Asus is a compact and fairly convenient task scheduler for Android. You will not need to create an account in the application, although in this case it is rather a minus, since there is no synchronization in any form.

To Do List does not even support backup and restore from a memory card, so in which case you will have to use special software to create backups like Titanium Backup.

Visually, the To Do List looks very simple and does not claim to originality. On the main screen there are lists of tasks, between which you can quickly switch with a swipe. The user can also create their own lists and edit existing ones.

The design scheme is unlikely to be liked by most users because of an unsuccessful combination of colors and incorrectly selected fonts, and this cannot be changed in the settings.




TickTick is a task list application available on multiple platforms. The developers have successfully implemented the concept of Getting Things Done (GTD) in their product.

The appearance of TickTick does not cause any complaints - the application looks stylish and modern, and the layout can be changed in the settings. The main screen has all the necessary tools for quickly adding new tasks and managing lists.

In calendar mode, data is displayed by date. To see the list of tasks for a particular day, you just need to select it in the calendar.

With TickTick, you can easily control tasks for the next day, week, month, and even several years. New tasks are added very quickly, just enter the name, date, priority and select the list. Initially, all tasks are placed in the inbox, unless otherwise specified.

TickTick has many advanced features - flexible and repetitive tasks, adding data on e-mail, attachment of attachments, classification using tags. Quick search, voice input, geolocation or time reminders, four priority levels and batch editing of tasks are available to the user.

Also in TickTick there is an opportunity to share task lists with colleagues, integration with calendar applications, quick search and sorting. Some of these tools will require access to device contacts and location services.

Unfortunately, in the free version of TickTick some of the functions are missing. To gain access to collaboration tools, additional design topics, as well as the withdrawal of limits on lists and tasks, a paid subscription will be required.

At the time of publication of this article, TickTick PRO cost from 70 rubles per month to 700 rubles per year. For most users, the difference between the regular version and the paid version will not be so noticeable.

There are many task schedulers on Android, although this is far from the most popular category of software for mobile devices. Most of the applications included in this review received high marks, but not without a couple of disappointments.


The leaders were Any.DO and Wunderlist, scoring 4.8 points out of a possible 5. These are the most convenient and functional applications in their segment, and they were not honored with the maximum score just because of the need to issue an expensive paid subscription to unlock all the available funds.

The third line is also shared by two applicants - Todoist and Remember the Milk, who received 4.6 points each. These applications are perfect for use on multiple devices and multi-user work with a large number of tasks. Remember the Milk is slightly ahead of Todoist in functionality, but the high cost of a paid subscription and the absence of the Russian language equalized the total score to one mark.

GTasks and TickTick performed well, receiving 4.5 out of 5, as well as SplenDO with a score of 4.4. There are only 3 obvious outsiders and if To Do Reminder and To Do List (4.1 and 4 points exactly respectively) still fit as task managers, then Do it is more like a notebook emulator that is not suitable for effective planning, for which he received the lowest score among all - 3.8.


In the case of task schedulers, the popularity of applications turned out to be proportional to their quality - Any.DO and Wunderlist are at the top of the list, although the first has almost doubled the 10 million installations from Google Play against 5. The top three were closed by Todoist, which is almost as good as Wunderlist popularity, and most of the remaining task managers have 1 million downloads.


The second table is entirely devoted to the functional features of the applications. As in the first, they are located here in descending order of the number of installations with Google Play. Here you can make sure that almost all applications support cloud synchronization and provide paid content.

In most cases, this is a subscription that provides access to additional features. Of the 10 applications, only 6 have a web version. 5 “+” out of 5 in the second table received half of the task managers - Any.DO, Wunderlist, Todoist, Remember The Milk and TickTick.

Any.DO and Wunderlist are the undisputed leaders of their segment, which even without a paid subscription will satisfy the need of 90% of users. Nevertheless, when choosing a task scheduler, you should focus primarily on your own experience, and not just on the ratings in this review or on Google Play.

Someone for these purposes is enough and Do it with lists of tasks for 2 days or even a simple text note, and someone will need much more, especially for monitoring workflows.
