Galaxy ji 7 mobile phones. Review of the android smartphone Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016): a breakthrough in the middle segment or an overpriced budget employee

The main and practically the only external change in the design of the updated model is the use of metal in the case.

Fortunately, Samsung took into account our comments made during the review of the old model Galaxy J7, and removed those wonderful plastic “chrome” edges that were starting to “climb” almost in the store. Here I, of course, exaggerate, but in general the situation was rather sad. The phone is strictly contraindicated to be in the same pocket with the keys.

V samsung galaxy J7 (2016) solved the problem by using an aluminum frame with a shiny, polished stripe. I don’t want to use a utterly hackneyed phrase, but there’s nowhere to go when it’s true: the metal pleasantly cools the hand. It is smooth, but not slippery, so the phone does not try to slip out of your hand at the most inopportune moment. Due to the relatively wide, even ends with slightly beveled edges, it is convenient to lift the phone off the table from any position.

In general, this update delivered only pleasant impressions and from appearance, and from practical operation. In addition to metal, of the visible innovations, one can only name plastic inserts for antennas, which are present in every “metallized” Samsung smartphone this year, starting from.

The back frame is plastic, framed under brushed metal. It is thin and can be removed with some effort. However, with some patience, you can not be afraid that it will break.

The diagonal screen size remains the same - 5.5 inches. Therefore, the overall dimensions also did not undergo significant changes: the width decreased by 2.7 millimeters and the thickness increased by 0.3 millimeters. Weight dropped by a full gram to 170.

It is difficult to say whether the phone has become more attractive, because beauty is a subjective matter. However, the new metal edging certainly helped the new model to “refresh” and not look as dull as before. In addition, the absence of plastic will no longer lead to the fact that the phone will lose its presentable appearance after a month of use.

Connectors and controls

The set of connectors and elements, as well as their location, completely repeats the sets in previous J-series smartphones of 2016. Neither a fingerprint scanner nor an indicator of missed events appeared here.

Above the screen from left to right are the front camera, earpiece, proximity sensor and flash. There is no light sensor here, so the brightness is changed manually.

Under the screen: mechanical Home and touch Menu and Back. The buttons are not backlit.

The metal power button is located on the right side.

The volume rocker, consisting of two separate and again metal buttons, is on the left.

At the bottom, there is a microphone, a microUSB connector and a 3.5 mm minijack for connecting a headset or headphones.

The rear panel is no different from that in: a loud external speaker, a camera eye that protrudes slightly beyond the body, and an LED flash.

Under the cover is a good old set of slots for two SIM-cards format microSIM and microSD memory cards up to 128 GB.

Personally, I like this option more than the combo tray, which allows you to place either two SIM cards, or one SIM card and a memory card. However, there are a lot of instructions on the net on how to combine a SIM card and a memory card, which will allow you to cram three elements into a double tray. However, this method does not guarantee their 100% performance, not to mention the risk of damaging one of the elements. And so, if you can’t cope with installing a SIM card or memory card, then our short video will help solve the issue:

In principle, the ergonomics of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is not satisfactory. All buttons and connectors are in their usual places, and the audio port moved to the bottom end deserves a separate mark - it's much more convenient to use it.

Case for Galaxy J7 (2016)

Buying a case or cover for the Galaxy J7 (2016) is quite simple - there are quite a few of them.

For such a cover for the Galaxy J7 (2016) they ask for 1500 rubles. Looks good, and the case can serve as a stand.

This cover for the Galaxy J7 (2016) is made of leather and costs much more - 2900 rubles.

A silicone case for the Galaxy J7 (2016) also costs a lot - about 1400 rubles.

There are also many other similar accessories on sale - after all, we are talking about a popular mass smartphone.

Screen Galaxy J7 (2016)

The screen, or rather the resolution, inherited by the updated model Galaxy J7 (2016), is one of the most controversial issues. The diagonal screen size, recall, is 5.5 inches, and the resolution is 1280x720 pixels, which means a low density of dots per unit area.

In this case, the PPI value is 267. Frankly speaking, this is not the highest value, after all, HD for a 5.5-inch screen has long been considered too modest a parameter. However, thanks to Samsung's tricks of slightly larger font there, slightly larger icons here, and so on, everything looks pretty smooth, without a "ladder" of individual pixels.

In addition, I want to note that the little things in the form of pixels are mostly noticed by people who are addicted. For many users, this parameter represents where lower value than, for example, the number of megapixels of the camera, if you know what I mean. Finally, we should pay tribute to Samsung: the company's product range includes the Galaxy J7 (2016) model with a Full HD screen and three gigabytes. random access memory, but it is only for East Asian markets.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016), like other J-series smartphones, including the old "seven" in 2015, uses a matrix made according to Super AMOLED technologies. What does this say? About saturated color reproduction with the ability to adjust, about a high level of brightness, good readability in the sun and the "correct" display of black. The maximum white brightness is 398.89 cd / m 2, which deserves a good rating.

In the screen settings, you can select four color profiles. I settled on a saturated Adaptive, which offers more "flashy" colors, and a Primary with more "calm" colors. The image clearly shows how the color gamut in Adaptive mode exceeds the sRGB space, while when using the Primary profile, the colors go only slightly beyond it.

When using the Adaptive Profile, the color temperature differs from the reference 6500K by about 1300-1500K. As a result, the colors are at least "colder" - a little, but noticeable. The colors of the Main Profile look "softer" due to the fact that the color temperature is much closer to 6500K and differs by 200-300K.

Finally, the last screen test is to measure the gamma curve for the two profiles. In this case, the curves for both Adaptive and Basic are the same and in general show a slight deviation, so that the picture will be displayed with the desired brightness.

The screen sensor recognizes 10 simultaneous touches.

There is no light sensor here or it is not used in this version of the OS. In any case, leafing through the specification of the smartphone on various resources, including the official one, I did not find any mention of it.

In general, if you do not pay attention to the resolution, I liked the screen. Sensitive, with good and customizable color reproduction, bright - the screen is definitely good. What it lacks in my opinion is the additional tweaks that Samsung usually leaves for flagship S-series devices. Although it was still worth keeping the auto-brightness control - it is much more convenient with it.

Camera Galaxy J7 (2016)

If we immediately jump to the conclusion, then the same conclusion can be drawn about both cameras of the phone: they are good, but without frills. I do not have the ability, like iFixit, to disassemble smartphones and compare components, so my conclusion is based on my own observations.

According to them, the old and updated Galaxy J7 models are equipped with the same photomodules. However, there is nothing wrong with this, as the 2015 J7 got very good cameras. This is probably why Samsung decided: if it works, don't touch it.

The main camera takes pictures with a maximum resolution of 13 MP (4128x3096), but only for an aspect ratio of 4:3. For the 16:9 aspect ratio that most displays on TVs, monitors, and mobile devices ah, the resolution drops to 9.6 MP.

Settings also "migrated" from the old Galaxy J7. In normal mode, you can select a filter, turn on / off the flash and set the timer.

Pro mode adds white balance, ISO, and exposure compensation settings.

Among other settings, you can choose shooting in HDR, panoramic and continuous shooting, and others.

The pictures are quite decent, especially outdoors with good lighting conditions. I also suggest taking a look at the camera review of last year's model to increase the number of photos for evaluation.

The video is shot in Full HD resolution. Obviously, 2K resolution is left for flagship smartphones to keep the intrigue.

The quality of the video, as well as the photo, is excellent, so you can safely take out your tripod and shoot time-lapse videos of your city.

The resolution of the front camera shots again depends on the selected aspect ratio. The maximum is only available for 4:3. The settings are the same as those of the Galaxy J5 (2016) and the old Galaxy J7 - the choice of self-portrait, group photo, and so on.

The quality of the pictures, given that it's all the same front-camera- excellent. Color reproduction, white balance, sharpness - nothing to complain about. In addition, the front camera is equipped with a flash. Personally, I have never used it, but perhaps someone will find a use for it.

The maximum resolution available for video is Full HD.

I suggest you evaluate the quality of the picture yourself. My opinion is the same - excellent. What else can I say if this is true?

In general, as mentioned at the beginning, both cameras shoot great. The only drawback is the simplified menu and modest settings. Samsung leaves the more advanced "chips" to the flagships, although I believe that these cameras are also quite capable of handling them.

Specifications Galaxy J7 (2016)

As a rival, I chose last year's Galaxy J7 model. The novelty is equipped with a different processor and more RAM, so I'm curious how significant the difference in performance is between the two models with a difference of a year. I got a Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) marked SM-J710FN.

In addition to the metal in the case, the changes also affected the filling of the smartphone. The display is probably the same, but the Galaxy J7 (2016) received a new processor, more RAM, an NFC chip, and a larger battery. And also - a more recent version of the operating system.

The Exynos 7870 processor is an upgrade from the 7580 found in the old Galaxy J7. It is made on a 14nm process technology, includes eight Cortex-A53 cores with clock frequency up to 1.6 GHz and, as Samsung promises, is more energy efficient. Unfortunately, the first and so far the only device equipped with the Exynos 7870 is the Galaxy J7 (2016), so the processor has not yet been featured on popular resources and there is little information about it.

As for the graphics accelerator, the Mali-T830 MP2 is the middle solution in the T800 line of accelerators and is designed for medium price solutions. In general, even the old model Galaxy J7 did not suffer from a lack of performance with a weaker Mali-T720 MP2 video card, including in games, so the more advanced Galaxy J7 (2016) should not let you down.

The J7 (2016) has 2GB of RAM, more than the 2015 Galaxy J7, which only got 1.5GB. Today it is already the standard. Also, the battery capacity has been increased from 3000 to 3300 mAh, an NFC chip has been added and Android 6.0.1 has been installed. What is not here is a gyroscope, so for the glasses virtual reality smart phone won't work. The amount of internal memory is 16 GB, of which 11 GB are available.

In general, the changes are very significant - a new chip, more "RAM", a fresh OS. However, it is not yet clear how this will affect in practice, so let's move on to testing performance and battery life.

Performance Testing

As a competitor, as I said, last year's J7 model acted. Let's see what changes Samsung has managed to achieve in the middle price range.

The results of the Quadrant system-wide test once again showed who is the weak link today and who will not pull World of Tanks Blitz today. However, the lag is not so large, although the test is already a bit old. What will more modern tests show?

The SunSpider browser test (the lower the score, the better) showed the same thing: Galaxy J7 (2016) pulls ahead, but not as much as one would expect after the launch of Antutu.

Finally, graphics performance tests. A modern smartphone copes with this task better, but in general, the numbers obtained demonstrate that both devices can be safely attributed to strong “middle peasants” and try to play any games on them.

Galaxy J7 (2016) in Antutu

And let's see how the smartphone performed in the popular Antutu test.

As you can see, the general test showed a significant superiority of the new model. The difference was almost 12,000 points - quite impressive.

Autonomy Galaxy J7 (2016)

In terms of autonomy from the Galaxy J7 (2016), I expect at least good results. The fact is that Samsung not only increased the battery capacity, but also used the battery itself, which, coupled with the new 14-nm processor, will be discharged extremely slowly.

According to the results of testing the autonomy of the device, Galaxy J7 (2016) was able to outperform Galaxy J7 by 5%. If we consider that the old model at one time showed a very good result, significantly ahead of the 4000 mAh battery, then Samsung's words about the improved energy efficiency of the new processor can be considered true. The Galaxy J7 (2016) model was very reluctant to part with the percentage of battery charge and, in general, the smartphone turned out to be very tenacious, showing an excellent result. Even a brick smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery is unlikely to reach such an indicator.

By tradition, the maximum expense fell on games. What to do, for the correct operation of "heavy" applications, the smartphone needs all its resources. But when listening to music, reading and at rest, the battery practically did not discharge.

If, however, somewhere on the road you find that the battery is about to run out, then Samsung offers to use the power saving mode, which changes color scheme to black and white and turns off most modules. With it, even a couple of percent of the charge can be stretched for a considerable time. To this, you can add a customized list of applications that will be turned off when not used for a long time.

In general, testing has proven that J7 (2016) really got more productive stuffing than the old model. Although for the most part the superiority was negligible, I still consider the result excellent, since last year's Galaxy J7 was also “not a bad thing”. Although I was especially pleased with the improved autonomy of the Galaxy J7 (2016).

Games on Galaxy J7 (2016)

It's time for the real test - the game. If multiple, then the Galaxy J7 (2016) coped with everything with a bang.

  • Riptide GP2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 7: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 8: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Modern Combat 5: excellent, the game does not slow down;
  • N.O.V.A. 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Trigger: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Trigger 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Real Racing 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Need for Speed: No Limits: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Shadowgun: Dead Zone: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline Commando: Normandy: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline Commando 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity Warriors 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity Warriors 4: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 4: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • dead effect: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Effect 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Plants vs Zombies 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • dead target: excellent, the game does not slow down.

Some games, such as Iron Man 3, were not available at the time of testing. Google Play, so they were removed from the list. But even without that, you can see: on the Galaxy J7 (2016) you can play everything, and without any problems.

ON

The main difference in the pre-installed software is the Android 6.0.1 version of the operating system itself. From Android 5, it is distinguished by a lot of innovations: application permissions, simplified volume control, an updated list of applications with the most frequently used programs, and so on. Learn more about what's new in . However, the TouchWiz shell somewhat levels these differences, so at first glance the number of changes may seem rather modest.

Otherwise, all the software migrated here from last year's Galaxy J7 and is no different from the Galaxy J5 (2016). For example, branded google apps and Microsoft.

And this is a set of applications from Samsung.

In addition, scrolling through desktops, you can stumble upon Briefing, a customizable world news aggregator. For those who do not need it, after that you should perform a “pinch” gesture with two fingers, go to the table with this application and move the switch to the appropriate position.

Personally, usability is always important to me, so the first thing I do is set up quick access to the switches. Let me remind you that if the “curtain” is “pulled” not with one, but with two fingers, then it opens full list switches.

Then I get acquainted with additional settings. Unfortunately, Samsung saves most of the most delicious for more expensive devices, so the list of such settings in the Galaxy J7 (2016) is rather modest. But, of course, there is something. For example, since we have swung at a 5.5-inch screen, it makes sense to experiment with the settings for one-handed control.

For me personally, the reduced window and the small keyboard were not very convenient. Perhaps it's a matter of habit. Window reduction mode is enabled by pressing the Home button three times.

These additional features are worth using for a while to see if they are useful to you. Since there is no indicator of missed events in the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016), smart notifications can come in handy.

In the display settings, you can specify whether the background for the icons will be used.

Smart Manager is a convenient and efficient application that has become part of the settings. It displays general statistics on the state of the smartphone with the ability to view more detailed information.

And this is a preview running applications with a convenient "Close All" button.

Finally, a set of standard applications - a dialer, contact editing, settings with a choice of shortcuts for quick access, a voice recorder and others.

While testing the settings and pre-installed software, one word was constantly spinning on my tongue - modestly. On the one hand, everything you need and a little more is here. But compared to flagship devices, mid-range models seem like simple balalaikas.

Conclusion

If we compare the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) with its predecessor, the new product outperforms old model on several points: case, performance, software and offline work. If we consider them separately, then each innovation does not represent any cardinal changes. But in the aggregate, Samsung turned out to be a very interesting model that could become better than an already worthy smartphone.

Separately, I would like to note the excellent autonomy of the smartphone, which surpassed the performance of the Galaxy J7 in 2015, without undue modesty excellent. In second place is the metal case, which made it possible to avoid excessive boredom in the outlines of the smartphone. The third place on my impromptu list of achievements is shared by two good cameras and high level performance, allowing you to run any game on a mid-range smartphone.

The main and perhaps the only drawback is the screen resolution. However, as I said, thanks to Samsung's tricks, an undemanding user will not pay any attention to this drawback.

Price Galaxy J7 (2016)

You can buy Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) for 19 thousand rubles. For comparison, the 2015 model can be purchased for 15.5 - 16 thousand rubles. How will competitors respond?

Meizu M3 Note can be purchased from an official distributor at an average price of 16.5 - 17 thousand rubles. The smartphone is equipped with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS screen, an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) with a Mali-T860 MP2 accelerator, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, a 4100 mAh battery and a combined SIM tray. maps and memory cards, GPS / GLONASS navigation and LTE support. Among the shortcomings compared to the Galaxy J7 (2016) is an older OS android version 5.1 and worse autonomy.

This model is not so common, but for 18 - 18.5 thousand rubles a set of characteristics deserves attention. In the first place is a 5000 mAh battery, alas - non-removable, as well as a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor with eight cores and a clock speed of 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 405 accelerator, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and support for memory cards up to 128 GB. Supports 4G standard and Wi-Fi 802.11ac interface.

Pros:

  • improved design compared to its predecessor;
  • metal sides;
  • quality assembly;
  • more productive processor and video card;
  • increased amount of RAM;
  • higher capacity battery and record autonomy;
  • flash for the front camera;
  • decent camera quality;
  • high-quality Super AMOLED screen;

Now I will write about the features, I compare it with notes 2, sgc7edge. I want to say to those who are soaring about avtosveta, do not score brains, I also thought it would be uncomfortable. In fact, almost always 1/3. You can put different types of morgasik on the front flash, on sms wats app, etc. Applications in the playmarket, 10 pieces, though in English. The screen is brighter than the current flagship, I was surprised myself. Of course, there is no such feature as in the seven edge, it is generally visible in polarized glasses. The battery is very good, drop it in a day, you have to be a maniac. The quality of reception is excellent, the quality of voice communication is good, I can’t say anything bad. Two sims work as expected, only better to download a third-party calling app, which will have a choice of sims when calling, and many more useful amenities! The photo is acceptable, if you don’t poke at the screen, but gently touch the shutter, you can’t distinguish it from a shot with stabilization, the quality is at the level of a5 16g. And sometimes even better, but it takes more time to take a picture, hdr refreshes evening shots. Photos of business cards and macro at a5 level. He scratches, I saw scratches, after a couple of months of operation, one in his pocket, without partners in the form of keys, etc. Oleophobic coating, while very high quality, slightly worse than the flagship. What upset me was the unlucky connection with the car radio, yes, and of course the camera, I almost forgot. I myself did not consider it when buying, maybe there is something to shoot. Gps works better than on music 2, it catches satellites without transmitting mobs. data. Now I want to give advice to those who choose a smartphone, and not only this model. Buy only sealed copies, open a new one, check it out, and enjoy! I have been doing this myself for a very long time, I buy often, there are no problems. Advised the owner of a network selling household goods. Thank you for reading to the end, all the trouble-free operation of your devices! Ps. All the problems described above that users encountered, such as network failure, the Internet, etc., the loss of satellites, did not appear in my copy. The period of use is half a year. I advise you to take!

Advantages

Battery, screen, speed, 2 sim and flash, processor, front flash, an abundance of additional accessories, both original and third-party. Of the two gigs of RAM, free 1.1, 1.2GB. Against the background, for example, a5 16, which has 350,400 MB free, looks and feels like a flagship in use. P. About stable, does not require reboots. Generally!

Flaws

There is no warning diode, the main speaker is quiet, the sound in the headphones and the overall quality of the audio path, someone lacks autolight, is also a minus. Another disgusting connection with the car radio, the calls work, the call list synchronizes, but could not achieve switching tracks from the radio remote control. Surprised. Glass scratches. main camera. Compared to Note 2, the stylus is very lacking.

The Korean firm has created a balanced smartphone - both in terms of price and hardware. Model Galaxy J7 2016 will want to buy exactly those users who need a device with a large display, good performance and sufficient opportunities in terms of photography.

General overview of the Galaxy J7 2016

Speaking in general about the J line, it is represented only by budget samples. As the index increases, the company's models become more and more interesting. As a result, we see that the capabilities of J7 are maximum and quite comparable with the characteristics of competitors in this price group. So, the mentioned phablet has a minimum cost, if we consider this particular class and level of characteristics.

The sample was created to compete with Chinese models in the Celestial market, and therefore low Samsung price Galaxy J7 is enough an important factor at the release of this gadget. In China, you can buy a similar smartphone for only 250-260 dollars, which cannot yet be said about the cost of such a model on the European market. In Russia, J7 2016 prices are in the range of 15,090-19,999 rubles.

Describing external design J7, we need to mention matte plastic and glossy inserts stylized as metal (they are located on the side edge). The model looks streamlined (rounded), it is pleasant to hold it in hands, but the design is still not original.

There are two versions of this sample, one based on Exynos and one based on Qualcomm (their performance is about the same). As for the dimensions of the J7, with a weight of 171 grams, they are as follows: 52.2x78.7x7.5 mm. For a phablet, this is quite normal (the device is quite thin). On the front panel there is a camera flash, and in the middle at the bottom there is a mechanical key, on both sides of which there are touch buttons.

On the left side there is a double key for volume control, on the right - a button designed to turn on and off. Connectors are visible on the bottom edge - 3.5 mm, microUSB and a microphone. The consumer has the opportunity to significantly expand the internal memory up to 128 GB (just use a microSD card for this). We list the color options for the J7 model: black, white, trendy gold. All of them are universal, that is, they will appeal to both men and women.

Galaxy J7 2016 Specification Features

Mentioning the characteristics of the Galaxy J7 2016, we should mention the amount of RAM, equal to only 1.5 GB (this non-standard value indicates the budget focus of the model). Note that such a smartphone is one of the first low-cost devices built on the same software as the company's leaders. Inside is Android 5.1.1, but on top is lightweight. The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has a high-quality working FM radio (it allows you to record programs in the smartphone's memory).

In general, the J7 model is a very prominent representative of the new line of dual SIM smartphones. Samsung Galaxy J7 Dual SIM is useful in cases where you need to use different operators connections. The large display has excellent parameters, and the technical filling of the device is excellent for the middle class.

For those who want to get a clear image in bright light, the "Outdoor" mode has been added (when activated, you can count on 15 minutes of work). However, you will have to keep in mind that at maximum backlight brightness, the battery discharge rate will increase dramatically.

The battery of the model is removable, and many users like it (the battery capacity is 3000 mAh). The playback time in MX Player of an unconverted video can be almost 13 hours (at maximum screen brightness and hardware acceleration). The build quality is not satisfactory: there are no gaps or backlashes in the case.

What are the reviews of Galaxy J7 owners

Consumers note that this device has a good and easy interface with many little things that make life easier modern man. Most users are satisfied with the volume internal memory J7 and did not observe any malfunctions of the smartphone. The owners of the gadget described above list the following advantages of the model:
  • impressive screen size (diagonal 5.5 inches);
  • presence of 3g+;
  • fast internet;
  • high quality sound in headphones;
  • good quality of the cameras.
The front-facing LED flash allows you to enjoy the shooting process and enjoy its results. Great self-portraits are what the army of selfie lovers strive for, and they definitely like independence from lighting conditions. With the help of J7, it will be possible to devote both gigabytes and the desired amount of time to this activity.

It is worth mentioning such pluses as comfortable viewing of any films and the use of rather heavy games. In general, the Galaxy J7 2016 model received quite favorable reviews (among the shortcomings, for example, a weak speaker is named). No one complained about the spontaneous shutdown of the device or its freezing during operation. If you purchase a bumper and protective glass for a new gadget, you can keep your smartphone in its original form for a long time. Some buyers purchase J7 as a navigator, player and camera that can come in handy while traveling.

TFT IPS- High-quality liquid crystal matrix. It has wide viewing angles, one of the best indicators of color reproduction quality and contrast among all those used in the production of displays for portable equipment.
Super AMOLED- if a conventional AMOLED screen uses several layers, between which there is an air gap, then in Super AMOLED there is only one such touch layer without air gaps. This allows you to achieve greater screen brightness with the same power consumption.
Super AMOLED HD- differs from Super AMOLED in a higher resolution, thanks to which it is possible to achieve 1280x720 pixels on a mobile phone screen.
Super AMOLED plus is a new generation of Super AMOLED displays, differs from the previous one by using more subpixels in a regular RGB matrix. The new displays are 18% thinner and 18% brighter than the older PenTile displays.
AMOLED- an improved version of OLED technology. The main advantages of the technology are significantly reduced power consumption, the ability to display a large color gamut, a smaller thickness and the ability of the display to bend a little without the risk of breaking.
retina- display with a high pixel density, designed specifically for Apple technology. The pixel density on Retina displays is such that individual pixels are indistinguishable to the eye at a normal distance from the screen. This provides the highest image detail and greatly improves the overall viewing experience.
Super Retina HD- The display is made using OLED technology. The pixel density is 458 PPI, the contrast ratio reaches 1,000,000:1. The display has an extended color gamut and unrivaled color accuracy. Pixels in the corners of the display are anti-aliased at the sub-pixel level, so borders don't distort and look smooth. Super Retina HD reinforcement layer is 50% thicker. Breaking the screen will be harder.
Super LCD is the next generation of LCD technology and features improved features compared to earlier LCD displays. Screens have not only wide viewing angles and better color reproduction, but also reduced power consumption.
TFT- A common type of liquid crystal displays. With the help of an active matrix, controlled by thin film transistors, it is possible to significantly increase the speed of the display, as well as the contrast and clarity of the image.
OLED- organic electroluminescent display. Consists of a special thin-film polymer that emits light under the influence of an electric field. This type of display has a large margin of brightness and consumes very little power.
