Description lenovo tab 2 a10 70l. Information about the dimensions and weight of the device, presented in different units of measurement. Materials used, offered colors, certificates

Hello!

When our Acer laptop started slowly but surely tossing the ends, my husband and I seriously considered buying a tablet. And combining business with pleasure, we decided to give ourselves, loved ones, this device for the New 2016.

I was initially set up for something completely budgetary and modest, so that the family budget would not suffer, but my husband had a different opinion. In general, he adheres to the views that you need to buy high-quality equipment so that it will serve for more than one year and be "stuffed" with good iron.

WHY LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70L

Long before the joyless old age approached our laptop, my husband said more than once that in the future, when we decide to buy a tablet, we will take LENOVO. They say that this brand now has good quality and a reasonable price.

Before buying, by the way, the spouse usually spends a lot of time reading reviews about the technique and watching a large number of video reviews on this or that product. So he once approached the choice of a washing vacuum cleaner and a smartphone as a gift to me. I went the same way, choosing a tablet.

Based on the above, we can conclude that of all the tablets available on the market in their price category, the husband chose the most worthy one.

DESCRIPTION

Here I will simply copy the description of this model from the official website (filling it in a quote), leave my comments and give a personal assessment to the manufacturer's words.

Crisp and bright image

The TAB 2 A10 70's 10-inch widescreen Full HD IPS display (1920 x 1200) stands out from other displays with a larger viewing area and superior video quality.

It's true. The image is very bright and clear. Bombovskaya color rendition. And the screen is big. Initially, precisely because of the presence of a ten-inch display, we preferred this model. We wanted to be able to watch videos and play toys without a magnifying glass.

Immersive audio

Soundbar with multiple speakers and Dolby Atmos® Cinematic Moving Audio delivers stunning, immersive surround sound that immerses you in the thick of the action. With a Full HD display, the TAB 2 A10 70 is the perfect device for gaming and multimedia entertainment.

Well, sort of. The sound from the speakers comes out pretty convincing. The tablet screams well, it seems to be present ☺.

Powerful processor

The TAB 2 A10 70 is designed for the highest performance with a powerful 64-bit quad-core processor.

It's hard for me to say something about this. The tablet is quite fast, but there were also some hangs on it 😔.

Long battery life

The 7000 mAh battery guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous use. You can use your tablet all day long on a single charge.

It is what it is! Thanks to the increased battery capacity, we can charge the tablet once every two (and sometimes three) days. I think that with active continuous operation, the battery charge will really last for 9-10 hours.

Slim and compact design

The TAB 2 A10 70 is an incredibly compact device less than 9mm thick. Available in two colors (pearl white and midnight blue), choose the model that perfectly matches your style.

We opted for a white tablet, it looks mega-stylish. It is a pity that all this pearl beauty has to be hidden behind a cover, but what can you do, such is a vital necessity.

TABLET PHOTOS

I photographed everything that was bad / good at home from the tablet 😁.

VIDEO FROM TABLET

In general, I did not plan to make videos using a tablet. But "special for yu" filmed a short video from the window of her apartment on the 5th floor (just the local boys were hanging out on a swing). Take a look if interested.

The video quality from the tablet's camera is not so great, especially when zooming in. Perhaps, the distance and cloudy weather are to blame for everything, but still, I think that the tablet is simply not intended for these purposes.

MINUSES OF THE TABLET DETECTED IN TWO MONTHS OF OPERATION

Disadvantage 1. With a busy work, a significant heating of the case is felt in the upper left corner.

Disadvantage 2. Wide screen bezel (especially at the top). She does not bother me in any way, but for some reason my husband is dissatisfied with her.

Disadvantage 3. Rare system freezes. I have noticed several times that the tablet does not respond to touch immediately, but after a few seconds. It's hard for me to say what exactly this is connected with: with the operation of the tablet itself or with failures in the Internet. Perhaps the reason is really in the unstable Internet, since freezes happened while on the network (for example, at the moment of switching from one window to another, scrolling the page down and up, etc.). By the way, my husband did not notice such lags.

Disadvantage 4. No fast charging. It is not comfortable.

Disadvantage 5. Comparatively slow loading at startup.

Disadvantage 6. Weak rear camera (only 8 megapixels). We rarely use a tablet for shooting, so this is not a decisive moment for us.

Now I have written all this and I am sitting freaking out, thinking, is it really that bad? In fact, the listed disadvantages do not bother us in any way. If I had not been so harmful and nasty, I would not have found fault with these moments. I just considered it my duty to tell you about them.

SUMMARIZE

Despite the small flaws of the device, I dare to recommend it after two months of operation. This tablet suits us completely, since it meets our main requirements:

  1. The ability to view movies in high quality with a bright and clear picture.
  2. Convenient Internet surfing.
  3. Support for medium quality games.
  4. Widescreen display.
  5. Surround sound.
  6. Capacious battery.
  7. 3G / 4G support.
  8. Excellent value for money.
  9. Stylish appearance.
  10. Decent build quality (our tablet does not creak or play).

Before publishing the review, I asked my husband if he regretted buying this model after some time from the moment of using it. He firmly answered: "No! For its money, this tablet is by far the best!" Well what can I say, I used to trust my husband's opinion!

By the way, I can recommend a good artificial leather case for this tablet for modest money. We have been using it for over six months now and are very satisfied.

I hope the review was helpful to you. Thank you all for 👍!

OTHER APPLIANCES IN MY HOUSE ☺:

The main peak of the popularity of tablets has already passed two years ago, despite the fact that the category of devices itself does not exist even ten. However, this does not mean that there are no suitable devices on the market for every taste and wallet. There just remained only those manufacturers who are ready to experiment and work for a limited number of consumers. Lenovo is considered one of the largest. This company makes devices in all price categories - from ultra-budget to flagship, but at the same time, they are sold at more moderate prices.

A review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L 16GB (or 32gb) tablet will introduce us to a device that turns two years old in 2017, but judging by the reviews, it does not lose its attractiveness from this, as in terms of its characteristics. and prices. The latter, by the way, was quite tempting at the start of sales, but now, in the wake of new devices in the manufacturer's line, it will delight anyone.

Appearance and dimensions

Lenovo 16gb device is available in two colors - white and dark blue... In the last frame around the screen black... The manufacturer has given several hints to consumers on how to use this tablet. First of all, this is of course the aspect ratio of the screen. 16:10 in vertical orientation is convenient only for browsing the Internet. For all other scenarios of use, landscape arrangement is preferable. This is also indicated by the logo along with the front camera located on the long side, as well as the headphone jack on the verge above them. Accordingly, already starting from this, the volume control and screen lock buttons with slots for SIM and microSD cards are now on the short left side. If, taking into account such an arrangement of the control elements, hold the tablet vertically, you might really think that there is a marriage.

In terms of Lenovo 16gb, there is nothing outstanding (and 32gb). About 250 mm long, 170 mm high and 9 mm thick. Once it was the golden mean, but now, during the minimization, the device can seem really large. In addition, it weighs a little more. half a kilogram, which, according to reviews, is not very convenient.

The frames, on the one hand, are too big, but, on the other, they are deliberately made for comfortable play and a strong grip.

The assembly of the device cannot be called ideal ... There are squeaks, the back cover flexes, there is minimal twisting... But the size is to blame. Getting such a large tablet to be monolithic requires additional effort, which is unlikely to be justified by the cost. The review only demonstrates the features of some characteristics that additionally need to be assessed in the context of personal use.

Display is the main advantage of a tablet

Obviously, the main advantage of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is the screen. Manufacturers have long understood that this is what you need to do main focus... You can use a compromise camera and make the tablet a little larger, but if the picture is not pleasant enough, the consumer will not forgive. This device has a 10.1-inch display with IPS-matrix. The resolution is even higher than Full HD - 1920x1200. But this is a feature of the aspect ratio. Plus, given the presence of only soft buttons of the operating system, these extra pixels are very appropriate.

The density is 224 ppi, which is very good for a 10-inch tablet, especially considering its price. However, the minus of Lenovo 16gb (32gb) can be considered an extra air layer between the protective glass and, directly, the display. It does not greatly affect viewing angles and other characteristics, but if you remove it, you could achieve phenomenal results.

For discerning users, there is a MiraVision utility that can be used to further customize the screen.

The next important point is brightness. The maximum value is sufficient for all conditions. This is not a record, but exactly what a tablet, which was originally conceived as a home device, needs. But the minimum is a little annoying. It is too high and it will be uncomfortable to read in the dark. No light sensor.

There is no exact information about what exactly protects this so successful display. Either good glass or very good plastic. In any case, the operating results are positive, and this is exactly what we need. But unfortunately, no oleophobic coating - this means that sometimes you can experience inconvenience when interacting with the touch panel. And the fingerprints will stay longer than usual.

Performance and memory

Many people leave the review of the hardware platform at the end, but this is not entirely true, because it depends on it how all the delights of the screen can manifest themselves in high-quality video and demanding games. How many programs can be kept in memory, and how they will work, in general.

Chinese processor - MediaTek MT8732. 64-bit architecture with 4 Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics chip is a more efficient Mali-T760 MP2, which, alas, does not work at full capacity with this CPU.

2GB of RAM is a good indicator for its time, but now, given the fact that this is a 10-inch tablet, it can be difficult. Probably all modern applications will have enough volume, but when you switch them, each will be unloaded and started from scratch. Another 1 GB would not be superfluous.

Benchmarks and practice show that in the process of working with the tablet interface and basic programs no problem, but when it comes to games - it's time for compromises.

Top-end Asphalt 8, World of Tanks Blitz, Modern Combat 5, Dead Trigger 2 will need to be adjusted to get the desired number of frames per second. Or be content with the slowdowns that come with good graphics. And again, to understand the features of one review is not enough - you need to test it yourself.

There are modifications of the device with 16 and 32 GB of internal memory. Considering that not the full volume is available to the user, the indicator is small. Expandable by microSD cards though. But the features of Android 5.0 do not allow you to transfer applications to them completely. With an OS update, this flaw could be ignored.

Sound

Coming back to the design for a second, the only attractive design solution is the speaker grill, located on the rear panel on both sides of the camera. This is a familiar perforation that seems to crumble around the edges. But, again, the fact that the speaker output takes up the entire width of the tablet is no coincidence. In the device Lenovo there are several emitters at once, forming a kind of sound system. And in practice, it really shows itself well. The only negative is the directionality of the sound from user. But, on the other hand, the device can be used as a replacement for a portable speaker in the middle price segment. Dolby ATMOS technology is responsible for the overall good sound quality, and in addition allows you to create separate profiles for movies, music and so on. Of course, all these features also apply to headphones.

Cameras

Subjectively and according to user reviews, this is one of the most useless functions in any tablet. Probably, many consumers would agree to abolish it altogether, and get extra memory or a better display for the same price. But it can also be called a certain basic set that no manufacturer can do without. This device has two cameras: the main one is 8 Mp and the front one is 5 Mp. Both are of average quality. And they are only suitable for situational shooting. Don't even expect any kind of artistry. I am glad that there are settings at which, in good lighting, theoretically, you can get at least something.

operating system

Since, as already mentioned, the device is quite old, it runs on Android 4.4 OS. But now, right out of the box, it can be upgraded to 5.0.1. Further development can hardly be expected. Of course, all this is complemented by a vision of the company's engineers called Lenovo Vibe UI. Not everyone likes the casings of Chinese manufacturers. Here it is smaller than it was before, but it still catches the eye.

Autonomy and interfaces

Battery - 7000 mAh... An excellent indicator that will give about 12 hours of battery life... Considering this, even four hours that need to be spent to restore the charge to 100% may seem like a completely normal value.

Of course, there are no problems with interfaces.

  • dual band Wi-Fi;
  • bluetooth 4.0;
  • lTE support;
  • GPS, GLONASS;
  • oTG connectivity via USB.

Advantages and disadvantages

Pros:

  • great screen;
  • excellent autonomy;
  • high-quality sound;
  • support for 3G and LTE.

Minuses:

  • android 5.0;
  • compromise CPU;
  • lack of oleophobic coating of the screen.
  • not enough internal memory.

conclusions

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is a significantly outdated tablet, which has a number of drawbacks related precisely to its age and features that were relevant at the time of release. If you close your eyes to them, you get a completely balanced device that will show itself perfectly in everyday use; will give a good picture and will work really long.

Tablet video review

Lenovo in 2015 introduced its ten-inch tablet with 2 GB of RAM, it is called TAB 2 A10-70L. Since the company is known for producing a wide range of devices, ranging from smartphones to laptops, it is doing more than good in the tablet market. You can find a large selection of high quality Lenovo devices ranging from budget to premium. Today's copy at the time of release belonged to the middle price category. Let's take a closer look at what kind of “fruit” it is by reviewing the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L 16 Gb.

Equipment

The tablet is sold in a small cardboard box, which shows the device itself and describes its technical characteristics. The diameter of the box is slightly larger than the tablet itself. The package is standard and does not contain additional accessories. So, in the box, in addition to the device itself, you can find a power supply, a cable for charging and connecting to a PC and all the necessary documentation, including instructions and a warranty card, as well as a list of equipment on a separate sheet. The set is standard, as they say, nothing more.

Design

The tablet is made in an ordinary design without any peculiarities - everything is simple and concise. But this does not mean that he looks bad, just the opposite. The main body material is matte plastic, which is quite durable. The device comes in two colors, namely white and dark blue.

On the front panel you can see a display with a protective glass; above it, on the side edge, there is a camera and a company logo. It is from the location of the camera and the logo that it becomes clear that the landscape orientation of the tablet is the only correct one. And besides, it is not very convenient to work with a ten-inch device in a different position.

At the top there is a headset connector, there is nothing else there. On the left you can find the volume control and power off keys, they are felt perfectly, have a good response and do not creak. Next to the buttons, there is a built-in micro-USB input for connecting charging or synchronizing the gadget with a computer. On the same side there is a hidden slot for a memory card and a SIM-card, it is hidden under a special flap. There are no connectors on the right side, and only a microphone on the bottom.

The rear panel of the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L meets another company logo in the very middle. The camera module is located in the top center, along its sides are two speakers and holes for them.

The tablet is large enough for a resolution of 10.1 inches. It could have come out a little less if the frames around the display were thinner, but this is a plus - the device is more comfortable to hold, and there is no risk of false clicks. The case creaks a little, and the back panel is made of soft plastic and flexes when pressed, but only by a millimeter. However, it is worth considering that this adds the flexural strength of the device. For those who prefer a rigid back panel, you can purchase a hard-walled case.

The tablet weighs just over 500 grams, but it cannot be said that the device is heavy. In addition, the device is quite thin, which makes the gadget more ergonomic. The rear panel is susceptible to fingerprints, and if it is not so noticeable in the white version, then the spots will stand out strongly against the dark blue background. All this speaks once again that it is better to use a cover.

Display

Review of the tablet Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L will continue by considering the features of the display. The screen of the device has a diagonal of 10.1 inches, and a resolution of 1920 × 1200 with an aspect ratio of 16:10. This resolution is enough to get a high-quality picture without obvious pixels. For this price category, the resolution is very good, which undoubtedly pleases and raises the device one line higher than competitors in the same price category.

The tablet has an air gap, but this is not such a big drawback. For a mid-budget device, this is forgivable. The color reproduction is natural, the screen is bright and rich, but at the same time the colors are realistic. The manufacturer calibrated this setting well. Viewing angles are top notch, which also suggests that the display is excellent.

The tablet has a built-in MiraVision setting that allows you to adjust many screen parameters. This means an atypical setting for brightness, but also for sharpness, color balance, hue, and contrast and color saturation.

The brightness of the display is sufficient for normal outdoor use, however, in direct sunlight, quality may be slightly lost. The minimum brightness setting is too high, this leads to the fact that in the dark when using the tablet, the eyes can get tired faster and there is a desire to lower the slider even lower, but this is not possible. You can fix this using third-party applications.

The light sensor was not built-in, so all brightness settings must be done manually. However, most users turn it off anyway, so it cannot be said that this is a big disadvantage.

It is worth noting that it is still unknown what material is used to protect the display. There are opinions that this is a protective glass, but sometimes it seems that the front panel is a high-quality plastic. It is worth considering that the protective surface resists scratches well, but does not have an oleophobic coating, so fingerprints remain easily. It's better to use a film here.

As a result, we can say that the display turned out to be good and is clearly worth its price.

Sound

The device received two speakers, which are located at the top of the rear panel and are distributed along the sides, which creates stereo sound or surround sound. Dolby ATMOS technology is built into the tablet, it is designed to significantly expand the sound stage. We can immediately say that Lenovo has managed to achieve this. The sound is loud and clear, bass and low frequencies are felt.

Since the speakers are located at the back, it may be thought that this impairs sound perception. However, they have enough headroom, which compensates for the lack of location. At the same time, while holding the tablet, the holes for sound are not covered with hands.

In the mentioned Dolby ATMOS program, deep sound settings are given and there are several ready-made quality profiles.

Also a little about using the headset. If you turn on expensive headphones, then their potential will be revealed by 100%. As a result, we can say with confidence that everything is at a high level with the sound of the tablet.

Cameras

You shouldn't expect anything from cameras in tablets. Anyway, few people use them other than the front camera for selfies or video calling. But in the reviewed tablet everything is pretty good. So, the main camera received 8 megapixels and has autofocus. In good daylight, the pictures are of acceptable quality, the color rendition of the environment is normal.

But focusing takes a long time, and when you zoom in, you can see that the details of the photos are weak. If you take a photo in low light, the quality drops many times, and noise appears.

In the application "Camera" there are many useful settings, if you tweak them, the quality of the pictures may improve slightly. So, the most interesting setting is the HDR mode. It works quite well and is useful in many situations. However, during such photography, the camera must be stationary. It is also worth noting that there is no flash, which reduces the quality of the photo in the dark. Video clips are obtained albeit high-resolution in 1920 × 1080, but still the quality is a little lame, and pixelation appears. Despite the shortcomings in the camera, there are some interesting features, for example, the anti-flicker mode - it allows you to shoot video from the monitor or TV screen without running stripes.

The front camera is quite standard and will work fine for taking pictures of yourself or using for video calls, but the video quality is not the highest.

Memory and memory card

The tablet is equipped with 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. If the operating system is enough for the operation of applications and background processes, then the internal storage may not be enough. The fact is that it clogs up very quickly, and in the version of the operating system installed on this tablet, not all applications are transferred to the memory card.

You can expand the storage with a flash drive up to 64 GB, which slightly improves the situation. In addition, there is a version with 32 GB of ROM.

Communication

Wireless modules are available in the form of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G / LTE. About Wi-Fi, we can say that it works well and quite quickly, no problems were identified during testing - the connection is instant, and the transmission speed is high. The Wi-Fi module supports all standards that exist at the moment.

There are GPS, Glonass and Beidou systems. They all work well in conjunction with cards.

When you connect an OTG adapter, you can not only connect a USB flash drive, but even a USB-Ethernet network card for later use of the wired Internet. Such an opportunity is far from being present everywhere.

Battery life and performance

The tablet uses a 7000mAh battery. Despite the fact that the filling is quite economical, a long operating mode will be provided. Autonomy was tested on PCMark, where the tablet lasted more than 9 hours at above average brightness and Wi-Fi on. When the test is over, there is still 19% of the charge left, which is enough for an hour at least with the same high load.

In general, it will take at least 2 days to discharge the tablet during normal use. Charging takes about 4 hours from 0 to 100%. It is recommended to use the supplied cable and power supply, which provide a current of 2A. Charging may take longer with other power supplies. During hard games, the charging speed is significantly reduced, so in 30 minutes of playing the charge level rose by only 7%.

The "heart" of the tablet is a quad-core processor MediaTek MT8732 with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz. This is a mid-range chipset that is quite power efficient. As a video system, the Mali-T760 MP2 is used - a productive video accelerator, which, however, in this version has only 2 cores, but can support much more.

RAM 2 GB, of which only half is available to the user. In Antutu, Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L shows more than 34 thousand points, which is an average result. However, in reality, the performance turns out to be higher than the tests show. The interface works smoothly and quickly, all applications open without the slightest delay.

In games, the situation is average in every sense, so, in a rather demanding game World Of Tanks Blitz, you can comfortably play only at low and medium settings, however, in heavy scenes, there may be frame rate drops.

In well-optimized games of the level of Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5, everything is quite good, it is comfortable to play at medium settings, there are no obvious performance losses and jams too.

In simple three-dimensional games on the example of various runners, the performance is at a high level, everything flies as it should. The situation is the same with 2D games, they have no frame drops.

From all this, we can conclude that the tablet is, in principle, suitable for games, but it will come out with problems in especially difficult options, you will need to reduce the graphics settings.

Software

From the box, the tablet comes with the Android 4.4 operating system, but immediately upon launch it can be upgraded to Android 5.0. To do this, you just need to connect to the Internet, after which the tablet itself will offer an update.

Lenovo's proprietary solution Vibe UI is used as a shell. At first glance, there are not so many differences from the standard version of Android, these are slightly altered settings and re-whistled shortcuts for standard applications.

There are no complaints about the operation of the system. Everything works quickly and smoothly. No slowdowns during transitions are observed. The entire set of Android functions works in full and flawlessly.

There are several pre-installed applications, among which a couple of special ones can be distinguished:

  • SYNCit HD. This software product allows you to back up memory.
  • WPS Office. This is an office suite, it includes all the necessary applications for opening documents and editing them, creating presentations and a program for tables and calculations in them.

Outcome

Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is an interesting offer that fully justifies its price. On the positive side, we can immediately note an excellent high-resolution screen, normal performance for many daily tasks and support for 3G networks. The most tangible plus is an excellent sound system, which gives a truly high-quality sound, as well as high autonomy for a tablet with a 10-inch screen.

However, all the same, there were some drawbacks. This is insufficient performance for "heavy" games, frankly weak camera modules and the absence of an oleophobic screen coating.

But a tablet is not a smartphone. In general, the reviewed gadget is clearly worth the money.

Video review Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L

It is better to get acquainted with the tablet and see firsthand how it works, the video review of Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L will allow. The video will finally determine your impression of the presented device.

The tablet uses 64-bit quad core (Cortex-A53 architecture, if you're interested) processor Mediatek MT8165operating at a frequency of up to 1.7 GHz... Initially it was assumed that it would be limited to 1.5 GHz, but apparently, Lenovo engineers came to the conclusion that it can be increased slightly without fear of overheating. Various utilities have confirmed that the chip actually reaches 1.7 GHz, so this is not just unfounded marketing. The processor is fast enough for a flawless web browser, and 2 GB of RAMallow you to open a decent number of tabs. A pleasant surprise for an inexpensive tablet.

The built-in drive has a fairly high sequential read speed, comparable to more expensive devices, but the rest of the attributes (sequential write, working with 4K blocks) barely reach modern standards. Fortunately, in practice, there is no need to complain about memory: applications open quickly enough, and Android does not take much time to launch. Please note that only 10.5 GB is free in the 16 GB version - it makes sense to pay extra for the 32 GB model, especially since it does not cost much more.

Lenovo is well known for being free to experiment with designs, including tablets. And her Yoga series was completely copied by numerous compassionate Chinese who want to offer the market something original. However, the Tab 2 A10-70 has a classic look.

The design of the tablet is completely calm, without any "aerodynamic" bends, incomprehensible shapes, structures and grips. In fact, this is a typical rectangle with a screen.

However, it turned out all the same stylish. A kind of stylish white business tool. There are also black and blue options, but it was white that we liked the most. He looks more noble or something. Although Lenovo did not follow the fashion trend of narrowing the bezel around the display.

The back cover has received a matte soft-touch coating. It is flat and only sloping along the edges to make the tablet more comfortable to hold in your hands. In the center there is an engraved inscription Lenovo, but the main "decoration" here is the perforation on the sides of the camera lens. There are speakers under it, but this design itself is very decent.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is made of plastic, but this does not prevent it from being of high quality. The device is really well cut, all the panels fit well together. But this was not difficult to achieve due to the non-separable case - we have not yet seen anything else in tablets.

At the same time, the product from Lenovo cannot boast of light weight or thickness. They are respectively equal to 509 grams and 8.9 mm. When compared with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, then these parameters are 453 grams and 7.5 mm. The difference is not critical, but it is present. In general, the weight of the Tab 2 A10-70L is felt, although it cannot be said that the hands get tired from long use. Either way, you're not likely to use a 10-inch tablet on the go.

In general, the appearance and quality of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L were to our liking. In terms of size and weight, it does not set records, but everything is quite acceptable here.

Connectors and controls

Although the tablet is noticeably larger than a smartphone, it has the same number of controls, and sometimes even fewer. In addition, the tablet cannot be disassembled.

At the head of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is the front camera lens and that's it. There are no lighting and proximity sensors, an earpiece like a phone, so you don't have to put a tablet to your ear.

At the back, two elements are of interest. The first is the rear camera, the lens of which is surrounded by a metal rim. There is no flash - photo capabilities, like many tablets, are cut here.

The second item is the Dolby nameplate to the right of the camera. We don't need to explain what that says about the corresponding audio enhancements applied to the Tab 2 A10. The speakers themselves are located on the sides of the camera under perforations.

At the top of the tablet is a 3.5 mm mini-jack for headphones and a headset.

A microphone was taken out to the lower side.

On the left are the power button, volume rocker, microUSB connector for charging and a plug above the card slots.

The right end was left blank.

The memory card and SIM-card are inserted on the left - they are hidden behind a hinged cover. The tablet works with microSIM and microSD. To install, they just need to be pushed in the right side. But if there are difficulties with this, our short video will help to solve the issue:

In terms of ergonomics, Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is generally comfortable and does not cause any complaints.

Contents of delivery

The Lenovo tablet came to us in a complete set.

The device is supplied in a small, elongated pressed cardboard box.

Inside, in addition to the Tab 2 A10 itself, there is a user manual, a cable for connecting to a charger or a computer, and the charger itself. No headphones or headset. While it is difficult to talk on your tablet - it does not support voice calls over the mobile network - listening to music or watching videos is more convenient with headphones.

Case for Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70

It turned out to be quite easy to buy a cover or cover for Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 - there are quite a lot of them.

In its simplest form, you'll find a fleece pouch bag for the Tab 2 A10-70. This one is sold for 1000 rubles.

A leather bag will cost 1,500 rubles. Although it is one and a half times more expensive, it looks much more solid.

The cover-cover will cost about 1,500 rubles. In addition, the cover can serve as a stand.

Screen

Obviously, Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 does not belong to the budget category, and therefore it is logical to expect a screen from it, to which at least the epithet "decent" fits. Let's say more - in this matter, the Chinese company even has a chance to stand out, since the competing Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a very modest display resolution - 1024x768 pixels. And Lenovo seized the opportunity.

The tablet offers a working resolution of 1920x1200, which provides a decent 218 ppi pixel density for devices of this class. This resolution was often used in flagship products 2-3 years ago, and then they moved to 2560x1600 or 2048x1536. Meanwhile, more affordable solutions offer a resolution of 1024x768 or 1280x800, and sometimes middle-class tablets like the aforementioned Galaxy Tab A. The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 looks much better against its background with its screen.

Subjectively speaking, the Lenovo tablet screen left a pleasant impression. Good IPS-matrix, wide viewing angles, natural color rendering, behaves well in the sun. Compared to the 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab A, which we have seen several times, the picture is noticeably sharper, not as grainy. Of course, the Chinese device is far from the quality of the Galaxy Tab S or Tab S2, but it does not compete with them at all.

Maximum brightness was measured at 380.56 cd / m2, which is decent enough for a tablet. A comfortable level of brightness is achieved when the slider is set somewhere around 30-40% of the maximum. It should also be noted that the black color of the screen is quite deep - at full brightness it shines by only 0.33 cd / m2, that is, it does not look very "gray". The final contrast ratio is 1153: 1.

The color gamut of the screen almost completely covers the sRGB space, so you don't have to worry about accurate color reproduction.

The color temperature turned out to be too high, about the same level as most other smartphones and tablets - 8000K. But the image does not look too cold, so everything is in order.

The gamma curve does not look very flat, although there is no major deviation. In other words, although part of the picture is displayed darker or lighter than the reference, this will not be very noticeable to the eye.

The screen recognizes up to 10 simultaneous touches, which is not surprising - it is clearly not cheap, like the tablet itself. In addition, on a 10-inch display, the ability to work with both hands is most relevant.

The screen settings page turned out to be generally ordinary, with the exception of the MiraVision section.

Going inside, it turned out that this is a special application for configuring the display.

The application allows you to choose a standard color profile, or adjust the image parameters yourself. Saturation, contrast, brightness, color temperature (white balance) and sharpness can be adjusted.

Despite some oddities in the gamma curve graph, the screen of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 is generally good, with a pleasant-looking picture, wide viewing angles and special software that allows you to adjust the image for yourself.

Camera

On the camera side of the Tab 2 A10-70, Lenovo made some compromises. The 8 MP resolution is not the smallest, but you can't call it large by modern standards. Although again - the number of megapixels does not mean their quality, and in front of us is a tablet. And above all there is no flash.

The camera application is not used standard, but from the proprietary Vibe UI shell. However, it looks very similar to the one that comes with Android. Lenovo only added a couple of additional modes, redrawn the settings.

Filters can be applied in real time.

Settings allow you to specify white balance, set exposure, and change other parameters.

The maximum photo resolution, according to the settings, is 10 MP. However, the official site says 8MP. And we got the pictures with a resolution of 8 MP.

The quality of the shooting is generally normal, and in some places is good. The frames are not blown out, the white balance is correct, even the sharpness of the image is often good. Unless in low light conditions, the pictures come out blurry, but this is common.

The maximum video recording resolution is 1920x1080, which for some reason is designated as "Best".

The video looks good, much like the photo: the white balance is determined correctly, the video sequence is clear.

The resolution of the front camera is 5 MP, which is very even for a tablet - in fact, at the level of modern selfie phones!

There is only one problem with the front sensor - the white balance is not always determined correctly. But besides this, the pictures come out very even.

Front camera video resolution can be “Low” or “High”. The "high" value hides a modest value of 640x480 pixels. It is somehow not at all solid against the background of a 5 MP sensor - 1280x720 could easily be provided!

Video quality is generally good, but the VGA resolution spoils everything.

In total, the cameras of the Lenovo tablet were more than satisfied with us. These are, of course, not market leaders, but for a tablet everything is very, very decent.

Characteristics Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70

If we take the fall of 2015, then Lenovo in this time period within the A series produces three tablets: Tab 2 A7-30, Tab 2 A8-50 and Tab 2 A10-70. It is not difficult to guess that they differ among themselves in screen diagonal, and besides this resolution, processors, system. So the 7-inch model will not get Android 5.0, while the 10-inch one already got it, and the 8-inch one comes with it initially.

More specifically, our A10-70 is available in two versions: A70-70F and A10-70L. The first is made on the basis of the MediaTek MT8165 chip, and the second is based on the MT8732, which differ only in the presence of an LTE module in the second.

There is simply no other difference - the processors have the same frequency of 1.7 GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores, and a Mali-T760 MP2 video card operating at up to 500 MHz. In general, all this looks like a "strong middling", as well as Galaxy Tab A with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 410. In terms of performance, these devices are very close to each other, even in terms of communication - LTE category 4 (up to 150 Mbps) is supported both.

The amount of RAM is 2 GB, which may not be a record high, but not bad for a relatively affordable product. It's nice that Lenovo did not save here, as well as on the built-in flash memory, having installed it 16 GB. At the same time, expansion is available with microSD cards up to 64 GB.

We cannot say anything else about the characteristics of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L - the main thing is commented on. It can only be noted that this tablet outperforms the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 in terms of camera and battery capacity. So the Samsung device looks a bit "clumsy" against its background. Let's see how things are with their performance.

Performance testing

So, the results of testing two large tablets: Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Yes, the second one is not so "big", but apart from the screen diagonal it does not differ from the 9.7-inch model. Before moving on to the tests, let us note that Lenovo's product looks more promising: it has a higher-frequency processor and a better video card, but at the same time a higher screen resolution, which also affects performance.

The old Smartbench 2012 test showed the superiority of the Lenovo tablet - quite expected.

But the Quadrant benchmark is something Samsung has liked, although the difference between them is not very significant.

The new popular Antutu test, capable of taking advantage of all the advantages of modern processors, definitely gave victory to the Lenovo tablet.

And the Chrome browser, judging by the SunSpider JavaScript test, is of the same opinion.

In the old game electopia, both tablets squeezed the maximum out of it - the frame rate rested on the VSync limits, which does not exceed 60 FPS.

3DRating shows an advantage on Lenovo's side, but not very noticeable. It is interesting to look at other 3D tests.

Here you are - both very serious 3D benchmarks remained behind the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L, and even by a two-fold margin!

The autonomy results turned out to be extremely interesting if. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a smaller 6,000 mAh battery, while the Lenovo device has a 7,000 mAh battery. And yet both retained a pretty decent battery life after completing all the tasks. What consumes the most energy?

As always, this is a screen, and at the same time resource-intensive tasks like games and surfing via a mobile network. The most interesting thing is that the video is not so gluttonous, so the Lenovo tablet performs this function very well.

The tablet also has an extreme power saving mode, which allows you to save battery power if there is very little left.

Overall, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is a really fast tablet in its price range. It clearly outperforms its direct competitor Samsung, which is a great recommendation. At the same time, it provides good autonomy, which is also a noticeable plus.

Games for Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L

You saw the results in 3D tests in the last section, so you can expect the same agility from a Lenovo tablet in games.

  • Riptide GP2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 7: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 8: excellent, the game does not slow down;
  • N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Modern Combat 5: Blackout: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead trigger: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Real Racing 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Need For Speed: Most Wanted: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Shadowgun: Dead Zone: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline Commando: Normandy: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline commando 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity warriors 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity warriors 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 4: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead effect: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Plants vs Zombies 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Iron Man 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead target: excellent, the game does not slow down.

Well, it is. All games, despite the high screen resolution, started without problems and did not slow down at all. There is not even a drop in graphics quality to raise the FPS level. In other words, a Chinese tablet is well suited for this way of spending leisure time.

BY

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L came to us with a pre-installed one, which looked a little strange against the background of the general, and even the tablet itself is not cheap, and the 8-inch Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50 had this very "fifth android" at its disposal.

However, going into the settings section, it was nice to see the update availability message. At first it was a minor update, but after installing it, it became possible to download Android 5.0. It's all over the air, without any third-party tools and connecting the tablet to the computer.

The first time we turned on the tablet, we saw just such a desktop. This is a classic Android 4.4 with a proprietary Lenovo Vibe UI on top. Here, as is done on the company's smartphones, a shortcut bar for applications is displayed at the bottom, and their general list is on the desktops - it is not separated from widgets.

However, in Android 5, the manufacturer decided to change its approach - now the desktops are separated from the list of all applications. All this has become noticeably more reminiscent of the classic Android 5, which is especially clearly seen in the design of the Google folder.

The list of all applications looks quite usual - there are 30 of them displayed on one screen and change horizontally.

The notification panel and the quick settings panel combined with it also almost do not differ from the one in the "naked robot". The settings panel has been slightly redrawn.

Lenovo did not touch the list of the latest applications at all - they are displayed in the form of tabs.

There are no special settings on the tablet, and the standard ones are only slightly redrawn. For them, their own icons have been created, and the sections are displayed in two lists. Only the screen has advanced configuration options, which we described above in the relevant section.

The tablet received a standard set of Lenovo branded applications, one of which is the SYNCit synchronization program. It can save your data to the cloud.

SHAREit and CLONEit are used to exchange data with various devices - smartphones, tablets or computers.

Lenovo hasn't limited itself to just installing the Dolby nameplate on the tablet case - it has a dedicated Dolby Atmos application for fine-tuning the sound. Here you can either select a ready-made profile or set your own.

There is a game store. True, we did not see famous titles here.

Another potentially useful application, or rather a service client, is a book store.

There are also standard utilities such as a calendar, calculator, timer, world time, alarm clock and stopwatch.

From a software point of view, Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L suits us quite well - it is a high-quality tablet with a modern system and a good set of software, both proprietary and third-party. At the same time, the interface works quickly and without glitches - the latter were complained about when they were updated to Android 5.0. We do not know what they have there, but we did not notice the degradation of the quality of the device.

The only thing that smears the impression a little is that it is not possible to make calls via the cellular network. The device, we recall, is equipped with a 2G / 3G / 4G communication module, so in theory it supports everything, but this function is blocked. Why Lenovo decided to be like Apple with its iPad is not clear - calls are fully available on the same Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets.

Conclusion

We liked the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L. For its money, it offers excellent functionality and high performance, as well as high-quality performance and even an eye-pleasing design. The device really has a lot of advantages, the main of which are a high-resolution screen, a good processor, and decent battery life.

Separately, it should be noted the possibility of updating to Android 5.0. On the one hand, it would be strange to see a 2015 tablet on an older version of the system, but Lenovo got it right in time and released an update. The shell has received a refreshed design and support of modern technologies.

The tablet camera suits us better. She takes decent pictures in good lighting conditions, and her video comes out pretty good. The lack of a flash is frustrating, but a 10-inch tablet is not the kind of device you will go around and shoot with. But the video resolution of the front camera could still be made at 1280x720.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L has no serious disadvantages. We have just announced one of them - low resolution video shooting from the front camera. The second drawback is that there is no way to make calls over the mobile network, despite the presence of the corresponding module. It's clear that very few people use this on a tablet, but all the same - why give up this function?

But the nicest thing about a Lenovo tablet is its price.

Price Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L

You can buy Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L for 18 thousand rubles. The price is quite small, you must agree. For that kind of money with similar characteristics, and even from a well-known brand, you simply won't find anything. In general, the segment of tablets over 15 thousand rubles with a diagonal of 9-10 "is practically empty. Apart from the reviewed product, we found only one analogue, more than once mentioned above.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is sold for 21 thousand rubles, if we take the version with 4G, while the option with Wi-Fi only is available for 19 thousand. The tablet comes with Android 5.0 out of the box, has 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal flash memory, a 5MP main camera and a 2MP front camera. But what is most disappointing is the low resolution of the 9.7-inch PLS-screen (an analogue of Samsung's IPS-matrix) - 1024x768 pixels. You don't have to be an expert to see the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L lagging behind in almost every way.

We did not find other competitors, moreover, at about the same price. Samsung Galaxy Tab E costs 16 thousand, but it is noticeably worse in all characteristics. ASUS ZenPad 10 looks good, but it also stands a notch lower when you consider its price of 12 thousand rubles. A step higher relative to the Lenovo tablet is devices from 28-30 thousand rubles, such as the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Apple iPad Air of both generations.

Pros:

  • low price for its characteristics;
  • an update to Android 5.0 is available;
  • nice screen with customization options;
  • fast 64-bit processor;
  • stylish design;
  • loud sound with support for advanced tuning from Dolby;
  • high-quality assembly;
  • not bad camera for a tablet;
  • good autonomy.

Minuses:

  • there is no way to make calls via the mobile network;
  • low video resolution on the front camera;
  • no earphones or headset included.
