How to find out which video card is installed
First you need to find out which video card is installed. I find it most convenient to do this in the DirectX Diagnostic Tools. It displays information about sound and graphics. Go to Start Menu \u003e\u003e Run ( or windows + R) and enter the command dxdiag as below image.
In the window that appears, select the screen tab and look at the information about the video card. On the left is the video card itself, and on the right is the driver ( version and date).
There are others alternative ways find out the characteristics of your computer, but I think this will be enough. If the model is Radeon, it means AMD, and if Geforce, it means Nvidia. Next, I'll show you how, where and how to update.
After installing the driver, you need to restart your computer.
How to update the Nvidia driver
This can be done most conveniently through special program... It's called the GeForce Experience.
Download it and install it. After running it, go to the "Drivers" tab and click on "Check for Updates" as in the image below.
