I'd take it. The smallest mobile phone in the world. Cell phones - smallest - prices

30.05.2017 12:56:00

In one of the past articles, we wrote about the largest phones in the world. It is worth noting that the desire to set a record in the world of gadgets is observed not only among giant devices. For many years, mobile device developers have been competing with each other to create the smallest phones.

We can say that in the case of mobile devices, technical thought tends to be compact. At the same time, the gadget must remain fully functional and fulfill its main function - providing communication between people.

In our article, we will take a look at the smallest phones that have been created in recent years. All of them are not just amusing trinkets, but full-fledged devices with which you can call, type SMS and even access the Internet.

For several years in a row, the title of "Smallest mobile phone in the world "held on to the baby from Japan. Willcom's Phone Strap 2 even entered the Guinness Book of Records. And no wonder! The phone measures 70 millimeters long, 32 millimeters wide and 10.7 millimeters thick, and the device weighs only 32 grams. The phone is equipped with a 1-inch screen.

Using the phone, you can call, dial text messages and work with by e-mail... The model cannot boast of any special technical "chips". Of the common modules wireless connection Phone Strap 2 has infrared only. In active mode, the phone can work for about two hours, and in standby mode - 300 hours. Despite its great popularity, the phone never left the Land of the Rising Sun. You can buy it only in Japan for about 18 thousand rubles.

A small cell phone from China that boasts very powerful protection. The phone is not afraid of water, dust, falls, shocks and low temperatures, and it is designed primarily for a male audience. The camouflage paint, rough shape of the body and built-in flashlight add to the brutality of the phone a little more than a lighter.

Phone dimensions 112x17x48 mm, display diagonal - 1.8 inches. At the same time, the baby is distinguished by a battery, the capacity of which can be the envy of many modern smartphones- 6800mAh, so it can be used as an external battery.

If the previous model is suitable for men, then the QUMO Cardphone will surely appeal to women who appreciate unusual accessories. Measuring 55 x 85 mm, 7 mm thick and weighing 38 grams, the phone is considered one of the smallest and thinnest in the world.

Cameras and modules wireless there is no phone in the phone, so this is an ordinary “dialer” that can easily fit in a small pocket or purse. 2-3 years ago, the phone could be bought in online stores for less than 2000, but now it is easier to find it from collectors in Moscow or St. Petersburg.

The small YamaYahoo mobile phone combines two communication modes. First, it can be used like a regular cell phone by inserting a SIM card. From the device you can call, type SMS, it has Notebook and an alarm clock. Secondly, using a special mount, the phone can be placed on the ear and used as Bluetooth headsets when connecting another mobile device: smartphone or tablet.

The phone weighs only 25 grams and measures 74 x 23 x 11 mm. Considering the size and cost of only 2,000 rubles, you shouldn't expect a long battery life from the phone. A 300 mAh battery will keep the gadget for only 3 hours of talk time and up to 120 hours of standby time.

In 2012 this model entered the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest mobile phone with a touch screen of 1.76 inches and a resolution of 176x132 pixels. The dimensions of the phone are as follows:

  • length - 68.5 mm;
  • width - 38 mm;
  • thickness - 16.2 mm.

With such dimensions and a weight of only 40 grams, the sWap Nova can be carried as a keychain or clip on with a carabiner. Thanks to internal memory mini-phone of 256 megabytes can be expanded up to 8 gigabytes, the gadget through a retractable USB plug is used as a USB flash drive for a PC or laptop.

Even for a child's fingers, the phone screen will turn out to be too small, despite the fact that you can call, type messages and go online from the phone. Therefore, a special stylus is included with the device. As an entertaining accessory or for personal collection, the phone can be bought in Russian online stores for 8.5 thousand rubles.

Surely few people thought about what is the most small phone... Everyone has long been accustomed to the fact that modern devices are equipped with a minimum screen of 5 inches and are comparable in size to a passport or wallet. But what if you try to imagine a cell phone with buttons so small that you have to press them with a toothpick? It sounds like a fantasy, but, in fact, such a device exists, and we will definitely tell you about it, as well as about the other smallest phones in the world.

Introduction

First of all, I would like to say a few words about the fact that there are many small phones in the world, but since it simply will not work to talk about all of them, the six most interesting models... Each of them is remarkable and unique in its own way, and most importantly, each of these devices can be used in everyday life. True, hardly anyone wants to do this, but nevertheless the fact remains. Well, now, so as not to waste time, let's figure out what is the smallest phone in the world. Go!

Zanco fly

The first model to be discussed is the Zanco Fly. This phone model is incredibly popular with a certain group of people - prisoners. Why? Because thanks to its tiny size, it can be easily hidden in absolutely any place (we will not go into details) from the representatives of the law. One of the smallest cell phones in the world costs about 2300 rubles. ($ 40), and for this money a person gets a full-fledged dialer with a screen, buttons and other delights.

The Zanco Fly is roughly the size of a lighter or a lock key. The phone is barely more than 7 cm long, and a little more than 2 cm wide. The material from which the phone is assembled is plastic, and due to this the device cannot be tracked by scanners, at least as stated on the official website of the manufacturer. The battery also lasts for a long time. In various online stores, you can read a lot of positive responses to the phone, however, most of them were left by convicts.

Swap nova

Swap Nova is the smallest touchscreen phone in the world. This model officially entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2012. The device consists only of a touchscreen display with a diagonal of 1.76 inches, and two touch buttons below the screen to answer a call or reject a call. The case is plastic, there is also a power / lock button and a volume rocker.

The smartphone weighs 40 grams, and its dimensions are simply amazing: length - 68.5 mm, width - 38 mm and thickness only 16 mm. There is no need to expect anything special from the phone, but nevertheless there is a slot for a memory card up to 8 GB and a retractable USB plug, thanks to which the smartphone can be easily used as a regular flash drive.

Swap Nova allows you to make calls, write and send messages, access the Internet and do some other familiar functions, but you won't be able to control the device with your finger - the screen is too small. This problem the special stylus that comes with the kit solves, for which it is worth saying a special thank you. As for the price, it is worth the most small smartphone about 8 thousand rubles, which is not so little.

Phone strap 2

When it comes to all sorts of unusual things and things, then you should definitely look towards Japan, since this country, like no other, is capable of surprising anyone. For a long time, the proud title of "The smallest phone in the world" belonged to the Phone Strap 2 from the Japanese company Willcom. The engineers managed to design the phone in such a way that in a miniature body 7 cm long, a little more than 3 cm wide and 1 cm thick, they managed to accommodate not only all the necessary filling, but also a display with a diagonal of 1 inch.

The device received a full-fledged dial, as on ordinary push-button telephones, and even an infrared port. Phone Strap 2 allows you to make calls, write and send SMS, go online and even use email. As for the time autonomous work, the phone is capable of working about 300 hours in standby mode and about 2-2.5 hours in active use.

In Japan, the phone has gained incredible popularity. There was even one moment when literally everyone began to buy this unit en masse. The "baby" never went outside the country, and it is unlikely that they would have bought it anywhere, since in terms of rubles the phone costs about 17-18 thousand.

Cectdigi t8600

In the Celestial Empire, they often like to surprise with this or that miracle of technology. So in terms of the smallest phones in the world, China decided to keep up. Cectdigi t8600 has the largest dimensions presented today, but at the same time it is the smallest rugged device. Despite its dimensions (11 cm long, 1.7 cm wide and 4.8 cm thick), the phone is protected from moisture, dust, shock, falls from high heights and extremely low temperatures.

The device is made in a traditional style - a screen and a digital block. The width of the device is rather small, and it is extremely inconvenient to press the buttons with your finger. It is much easier to use a match or a toothpick. The phone is equipped with a flashlight just in case of fire and a screen that is almost two inches in size. With all this, the battery life of the phone is simply amazing. A 6800 mAh battery is installed here, which allows the Cectdigi t8600 to work for more than a week in standby mode and a little less with active use. That's it.

Haier M600

Another smallest mobile phone in the world, which cannot be ignored, is the Haier M600. Perhaps, of all the phones presented today, this one has the most stylish design. The body is completely made of plastic with a glossy finish. The digital block repeats the general features of the case. The center buttons are separately highlighted in silver and have additional characters... This was not done by chance, because this phone is a kind of mixture of an ordinary mobile phone and an MP3 player.

Phone dimensions: length - 9 cm, width - 3.5 cm, thickness - 1.8 cm. There is also a small screen with a diagonal of 1.1 inches. The weight of the device is 64 grams, which is comparable to several boxes of matches. Of the interesting things here we can note the presence of a Bluetooth module, a slot for a memory card up to 1 GB and an 830 mAh battery. In standby mode, the device promises to work about 200 hours, in talk mode up to 4.5 hours, but in music player a little over 10 hours

Cellwatch M500

Well, and the last device for today is the Cellwatch M500. This phone with a watch strap can be considered one of the smallest in the world. The weight of the device is only 60 g. It is worth noting the presence of a touch screen, music player and a battery that allows the phone to work for about 80 hours in standby mode. If you use the device for its intended purpose and start talking on it, then the battery will last about 200 minutes.

By the way, here is a photo of the smallest phone in the world.

It is inconvenient to control the phone using the touch screen, so there is special keys controls and stylus. It is worth noting that this model appeared long before any there Apple Watch or Samsung Gear.

Finally

As you can see, the smallest phone in the world exists and far from alone. Everyone is trying to do something unique and interesting in their own way. The only thing that negatively affects the attitude of buyers to "babies" is a rather high cost. For the money that individual manufacturers ask for, you can safely buy a modern powerful smartphone with a ton of features and functions. On the other hand, however, uniqueness is expensive.

Almost everyone I show this toy to wants one like this. This is a simple phone for calls and SMS that lasts on a single charge for a week, has the size of a credit card and is 5.6 mm thick.

Such a phone will be useful as a second one - it does not take up space at all and fits perfectly in the back pocket of jeans. I "sat" on it for two days, not noticing that it was in my pocket. I just forgot it there.

Despite the small size and low price the phone has everything you need - it is quite normal to hear on it, and not only can you hear the interlocutor well, but he hears you well, even though the microphone is located far from the mouth. It has a loud ringer and great vibration. It can be charged from any standard MicroUSB charger, and the standard MicroSIM card is inserted into it. The phone is equipped with a bright two-color OLED-screen, Russian language is supported. There's even Bluetooth for using the phone with a wireless headset.

The size of the phone is exactly the same as that of a bank card - 53x85 mm. Thickness 5.6 mm (shops indicate 4.7 mm, but this is not true), weight - 28 grams.

Rear view (in fact, it is almost 2.5 times smaller than you see it in this picture). The brand and name of AEKU mini-M5 is indicated. For some reason, many stores call it AIEK M5.

At the bottom there is a slot for Micro-SIM, closed with a cap, a MicroUSB connector and a switch that completely disconnects the battery (this time gets lost).

The phone case is non-separable, the battery is non-removable.

The screen is small - only 25x13 mm. Top line- yellow, the other three - blue. As you can see, there is a Russian language. The phone accepts SMS. You can even send them, but typing them using a non-Russianized keyboard and a tiny screen is certainly inconvenient, but for such a phone it is not really necessary.

The phone supports contacts on a sim card and its own internal phone book.

Not all messages completely fit on the screen. Sometimes it turns out like this.

The phone has a lot of settings and a rather large menu. You can even assign any function to the arrow keys. There is a calculator, alarm clock and FM radio, which requires special headphones with a MicroUSB connector. I don't know if anyone will need Bluetooth, but it is there.

Sound profiles can be helpful. The two main profiles (sound / vibration) are switched not only in the menu, but also by long pressing the "hash" key.

I checked how much battery life the phone will have in the "additional phone" mode. For a week he was with me. During this time, several SMS were received, I received several incoming calls and made a couple of outgoing ones. The phone lasted 6 days and 17 hours. Almost a week.

The phone is charged with a current of 0.2 A. Full charging time is 2 hours 15 minutes.

The set includes a short 15 cm flat USB-MicroUSB cable and does not go Charger- everyone who buys this phone will definitely have a USB charger.

In Chinese stores you can find similar "cardphones" (cardphone) with two SIM cards, a slot for microSD cards and the ability to play music (the headphone output is still the same, via the MicroUSB connector), but it all seems superfluous to me.

I see several use cases for such a phone:

Phone for a child. No toys, no internet, no music. Small, cheap, long-lived;
Temporary auxiliary telephone. For example, to answer calls on ads;
The second phone in roaming - to the main phone - a local SIM card, to this one - to your home;
Secondary telephone number.

The store has phones in black and colors. I chose black - it seemed prettier to me, and it gets dirty less.

Despite the fact that smartphone manufacturers are now in a real race for screen size, some people prefer originality. Among the unusual gadgets are the smallest phones in the world, which delight their appearance, while having extensive functionality.

Haier Elegance - 91x35x18 mm

This capsule-like phone really looks very elegant. It is suitable for people who need a mobile phone only for conversations, SMS and listening to their favorite songs.

Haier Elegance is in particular demand among women, because it hardly exceeds the size of lipstick, and at first glance it resembles it. The gadget is polished to a shine and shines like black pearls.

Among the functions of Haier Elegance are FM tuner, OLED display, Bluetooth. The manufacturer provides a 1 year warranty.

Samsung SGH-E888 - 87x47x23 mm

Koreans have developed an unusual miniature slider with an LCD display and full set technologies for communication - GSM, SMS, MMS. As for the Internet, only GPRS and WAP version 2.0 are supported.

The device is powered by a 820 mAh battery. There is a 1 megapixel camera (the lens of which can be flipped 180 degrees), the ability to install Java applications, 80 megabytes of internal memory for data storage.

LG Migo - 82x46x22 mm

This candy bar differs not only in its size, but also in its cheerful design for children. Its two small ear-like antennas are actually designed to pick up CDMA signals and locate the baby.

The budget phone was released in 2006 and to this day has no competitor with exactly the same characteristics. There is a 1000 mAh battery, which allows the phone to work in standby mode for 9 hours, and in talk mode for more than 3 hours.

UTStarcom Slice - 109x46x102 mm

And this baby was also released in 2006. It has 32 megabytes of internal memory and a standard Li-Ion battery... In general, the device has collected positive reviews from buyers - it almost never loses a signal and generally works well for its price. This is what the manufacturer wanted.

The disadvantages include the fact that periodically Bluetooth itself turns off, there are glitches with voice mail... Also, even with the keypad locked, there is a risk of calling 911 in your pocket, so you need to be careful.

Cellwatch M500 - 128 × 160mm (screen)

Both the watch and the phone are at the same time - such a miracle was released in February 2008. In addition to making calls, you can use this device to access the Internet, listen to music and watch videos.

In addition, the Australian gadget is able to transfer files via Bluetooth, connect to USB and receive files through it. With all this, you can safely wear the M500 on your wrist like a regular watch with a bracelet.

Xun Chi 138 - 67x33x20 mm

The Chinese gadget is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, and you can only talk on it using a wired headset. What is surprising for such a kid, he has touch screen, and a stylus is included for control.

Concerning technical characteristics then they are pretty standard. GSM, GPRS, 138 megabytes of built-in memory, USB connection. A nice bonus is the ability to recognize handwritten text.

NEC N930 - 85x54x119

The unusual form factor, popularly nicknamed "calculator", continues to live and develop. Some new features have been added to the N930 function keys, and now you can talk without using a headset.

In addition, the manufacturers got rid of the telephone keypad altogether, leaving only the touch screen. The case is non-separable, the battery cannot be removed. The set includes a special plastic cover with which you can close the screen while the device is in your pocket.

Modu Mobile - 72x37x0.78

This startup from Israel belongs to the inventor of USB memory, which means that it simply cannot be ignored. As the name suggests, the concept of the device is based on the use of modules. The main module is no larger than a credit card.

A telephone is subsequently built around this main radio module. But even without additional modules, it is quite independent - you can use it to call, write, listen to music, transfer data.

Panasonic Gd55 - 7x43x16.9 mm

The compact and attractive-looking phone is convenient to carry both in hand and in a pocket of clothes. At first, Panasonic had no plans to bring this model to the European market, but luckily they changed their minds afterwards.

The keyboard is made of soft-touch matte plastic and has blue backlighting. The screen is monochrome and also backlit in blue. The battery has a capacity of 720 mAh, which allows the device to work quietly for 230 hours in standby mode.

Nokia 0.3710 - 17x12 mm

The miniature size of this gadget is simply amazing - it is smaller than a coin, and weighs only 9 grams. Of course, it is impossible to insert a powerful battery here, so the battery lasts only 15 minutes in standby mode and less than a minute of talk time.

You also need to press the buttons not with your finger, but with some thin object, for example, the tip of a pencil. The smallest phone in the world was released not so much for practical purposes as just to prove that it is possible.

Aiek X6 Р26 - 86х55х5.3 mm

This model is called a card phone because of its small size and maximum thinness. True, its functionality is poor. There is only an alarm clock from the organizer, the battery has a capacity of 320 mAh.

But the price for such a device pleases - only around 800 rubles. Not a bad option to use as a communication tool. The phone is designed for one SIM-card, has a plastic case and a nice discreet design.

Mini 520 - 81x45x11 mm

An unusual miniature smartphone with a 2.2 '' touchscreen display, however, powerful processor with two cores and a frequency of 1 GHz. Operating system- full-fledged Android version 2.3.6.

Internet is available via GPRS or Wi-Fi, there is a 2 megapixel camera equipped with a flash. And for comfortable listening to music, the manufacturer has built in the Beats Audio system.

Willcom WX06A - 70x32x107 mm

This device is made in Japan and weighs only 32 grams. The phone can work autonomously for two hours, and this is in active use. To improve the quality of communication, the device is equipped with a retractable antenna.

The gadget is available in three colors - black, white and pink. Unfortunately, the WX06A can only be purchased in Japan, where it costs (in rubles) over 18,000.

BTphone D1 Mini - 67x24x10 mm

This gadget is a symbiosis of three devices at once, a mobile phone, an MP3 player and a Bluetooth headset. The device is characterized by high-speed interaction with any Bluetooth devices.

What inventions he is not capable of human brain! Tiny phones are further proof that progress does not stand still.
