Program functionality
First of all, the program is designed for displaying and broadcasting videos. This means that you can organize an online broadcast at any time. To do this, you will need a periscope application on your PC, a stable Internet connection and a camera. This could be a built-in camera on a laptop or an external camera for desktop computers.
To watch the broadcast, you need to select “global search” in the main menu. A world map with users who are currently broadcasting live will be displayed. To turn on the broadcast, you need to click on the red circle and select a specific user. After this, the live broadcast will begin.
On the right side of the screen, in the upper corner, there is a useful key; it switches the map mode to the broadcast list mode.
Organizing a broadcast is not much more difficult than watching it. To do this, go to the main menu of the program and find the lens image at the bottom of the screen, on the right side. The lens will be red and stand out against the white background. In the required field, enter the name of the broadcast, which will reflect its essence as accurately as possible. Click and select the broadcast type. If necessary, limit the number of viewers using the “Private” option, or do not touch the settings if the broadcast is intended for a wide range of viewers.
The application will automatically send a message to all your friends that you have started a new broadcast. To avoid this, you need to press the corresponding key with the Twitter icon. You can also use the application to limit the list of commentators to your friends and turn on or off the location of the video broadcast.
After that, click on the “start broadcast” button and you are live. After finishing, just press the appropriate key and the broadcast will stop. By default, all broadcasts are saved, but you can delete it immediately after completion.
