The design is not the most optimal, but time-tested, made "with a margin."
The battery inside costs 651022 (0.35 Wh or 110mAh), which is enough for several hours of work (5 hours).
The remote control is not water resistant. This is a minus of the old version. 
The board has only 1 button and a microphone. The Mini version has 3 buttons. 
In general, the remote control was the weak point of Xiaomi Mi Sport of the old version.
I do not recommend immersing the headphones in water, washing in the shower or swimming in them - they will not stand it. The weak point in the headphones of the old version is the remote control with buttons and the headphone housing. There is not enough sealant on the seam with latches. The new version provides protection against water on the buttons and a plug on the charging connector.
Headphones are protected only from water ingress from the emitter.
The remote has protection only on the buttons, but the microphone is open (hole). The remote control should not be wetted 146%.
Well, some conclusions on the use.

According to the manufacturer, the device is able to work on a single charge for 7 hours in a row. But it does not indicate the mode of use of the headset. During testing, the following indicators were obtained:
- In standby mode, the device holds a charge for 10 hours in a row;
- At a low playback volume suitable for a quiet room - 7 hours;
- At medium volume (in the office, in the gym) - 6 hours;
- At high volume in a noisy place - 5 hours.
Phone conversations using the headset have almost no effect on battery life.
