Highscreen pure power phone reviews. Highscreen Pure Power - Specifications. A web browser is a software application for accessing and viewing information on the Internet.

The Russian brand Highscreen has proven itself well for its smartphones with increased battery capacity. I won't be mistaken if I say that they were the first to bet on battery life in our market. The Boost, Zera, Power lines - all of them were considered in detail by us earlier, and are certainly known to those reading this review. At the end of August, my attention was attracted by the release of a new product. Highscreen Pure Power, which received an 8000 mAh battery and a very tasty price tag. With such a battery, this is the only similar offer available with warranty service, more only from OUKITEL.

You can buy a smartphone in the official Highscreen store with free shipping in Russia, discounts often appear. Below is a summary table of available offers, based on data from the Yandex.Market service.

Highscreen Pure Power review

Equipment

Highscreen Pure Power is delivered in a white package made of light cardboard with a schematic representation of the characteristics.

The package includes a micro USB cable, 2A charger, OTG adapter, headphones, instructions, warranty card. The included OTG cable is useful for charging another smartphone, wireless headphones or watch.

Appearance

Highscreen Pure Power is very similar in spirit to the Zera line, which, in turn, is outwardly close to the Lumia. The borrowing, if it was, was carried out successfully, it has its own original features. I myself went with the elder for a long time and was quite pleased.

Despite the initial positioning as a "male smartphone", its colors are also present in orange and blue. I have a classic black version at my disposal.

You can safely take it. Stylish and not marco. Exterior surfaces with a light matte finish. Fingerprints accumulated over time are easily erased.

You need to understand that a capacious battery always affects the final dimensions. The 8000 mAh capacity fits into a 15.5 mm case.

At first glance, a lot, if we compare with modern flagships, but if we take into account solutions close in capacity, everything is very good.

This was achieved by installing a non-removable battery, which takes up almost the entire area under the removable cover.

The slot for a pair of SIM and memory card is shifted to the upper edge. Owners of Highscreen Pure Power do not need to choose between a second SIM or additional memory, you can and should charge your smartphone in full.

The cover fits snugly to the body, without gaps or protrusions. It is not pressed through under the pressure of fingers, there is no squeak or backlash of parts.

The lens of the main camera with LED flash is off-center, does not protrude above the surface of the body. Pleased with the complete absence of chrome-plated plastic. Over time, the appearance will remain unchanged. The speaker is located to the right of the camera. The location is good, the speaker does not overlap when placed in the palm of your hand. The volume is at an average level, the call is audible, but it is not enough for comfortable listening to music. Lateral edge with a small rounded protrusion, about half the length. With in terms of convenience and ergonomics. It would have looked more interesting just a smooth rounding to the lid. Structurally, this protrusion is not critical, judging by the inspection of the case under the lid.

The volume rocker and the power button for Highscreen Pure Power are on the right side. The buttons are firmly fixed in the body, do not rattle, the move is clear. Audio jack and microUSB with OTG support at the top. The bottom has only the main microphone hole. The front side is covered with protective glass, its marking is not reported. There are no touch buttons, they have been moved to the interface. The same approach was used in the Zera series. On the top frame there is a speaker grill and a front camera. In general, Highscreen Pure Power makes a good impression, does not look budgetary. The dimensions, of course, are larger than those of ordinary smartphones, according to the experience of weekly use, they are quite comfortable.

Screen

Installed 5-inch S-IPS screen with HD-resolution. The screen is good for a budget. The level of detail is sufficient for comfortable reading, working with the interface, watching movies and playing games. The backlighting is uniform over the main area. The maximum level is not high enough, the screen fades in direct sunlight. Supports five simultaneous touches.

Filling

The main limitations in this model relate to the level of performance. Responsible for the work is a quad-core processor MediaTek MT6580 with Cortex A7. Mali-400MP2 graphics. Onboard only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, expandable. In real operation, compared to top platforms, programs run longer. Is it tolerable? Yes, it is tolerable, there were no lags and failures in the work of the software. You can even play World of Tanks Blitz after lowering the graphics quality.

GeekBench 4

Camera

The main camera is Highscreen Pure Power with a resolution of 5 megapixels. Focusing is fast. There is a LED flash. Application with a standard set of shooting modes, remote shutter release, manual settings. In the daytime, the picture quality is acceptable. At night, there is a noticeable graininess.

Software

The operating system Google Android 5.1 is preinstalled without additional software. Without chasing an extra penny with partner software, a priority is placed on user friendliness. You can install everything you need yourself from Google Play.

Bottom line on Highscreen Pure Power

Highscreen Pure Power can be considered not only as the main phone, but also as a pair to the existing one. Its main features are a very long battery life and the ability to output excess charge to an external device. All this was able to fit into a nice case with adequate thickness. They did not skimp on build quality and screen. Not the highest level of performance and not the best quality of the camera. No glitches or problems were noticed during testing.

Buy original Highscreen Pure Power in the official store

Also, you probably know that most of the covers are brought from there: they are ordered much more willingly, because they are cheap, and delivery is almost always free. Highscreen is a well-known Russian brand and now I got my hands on a novelty of the past summer - the Pure Power smartphone. It attracted attention with its impressive battery (and it is as much as 8000 mAh) and an attractive price.

The review got a model with a bright orange cover, which will be to the taste of creative individuals and those who do not like banal colors such as black.

Package

The model comes in a medium-sized white cardboard box. After removing the cover, we immediately see the smartphone itself with a display sticker that lists the advantages of the model (why do this in 2016?), Instructions and a warranty card. Under the smartphone are headphones, a micro USB cable, a 2A charger and an OTG cable (for recharging other devices from the smartphone).

Appearance: brutal and weighty

Outwardly, Pure Power looks impressive and resembles smartphones from the Zer line. Taking it in hand, you immediately feel its weight (239 grams), which is quite logical with an 8000 mAh battery with a 15.5 mm case and is unusual at the same time. Speaking of dimensions, I got used to its weight for about three hours. The device is made of high-quality matte plastic, which is not particularly easily soiled, so there will be no problems with cleaning fingerprints. On the right side face there are volume rockers and a smartphone power button. On the back is a camera with LED flash and a speaker. Well, on top, there is a micro USB port and a standard 3.5 mm jack.
The side edges protrude slightly at half the length, which is a controversial decision in terms of ergonomics and convenience. The speaker of the device for high-quality listening to music will not work in any way, but it will perfectly serve for calls and notifications.
After activating the smartphone, at first I went into a stupor, because I could not find the control buttons on the panel. As it turned out, you can forget about touch buttons. They are made virtual, which is inconvenient in my opinion, given the hefty bottom panel, which would be perfect for their functions.
The device has a slot for two SIM-cards and microSD. So the question of choosing between operators or increased memory disappears, which is already good. Despite the fact that the device has a removable back cover, it fits snugly to the body without gaps and protrusions. It is also worth noting that no squeak or backlash was found.

Display and sun

Highscreen Pure Power has a 5-inch S-IPS display with HD-resolution, which will be quite comfortable for reading, working, playing games and watching videos. Setting the backlight to maximum, as it turned out in the sun, the display fades when exposed to direct sunlight. It is also worth noting support for the display up to 5 touches.

Specifications

Now about the processor and the model. Equipped with a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor with Cortex A7 and Mali-400MP2 graphics. 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash memory is sufficient for use. Of course, applications take longer to launch compared to top models, but no glitches and lags were noticed in the work.

Supports Pure Power only on 3G networks. Receives a signal perfectly without breaks. Onboard Bluetooth 4.0, GPS module and single-band Wi-Fi.

8000 mAh is no joke

The smartphone was used to its fullest for two weeks: games, calls, SMS, instant messengers, surfing the Internet, etc. In general, the standard execution of tasks. On the fourth day, Pure Power could not stand the load and was completely discharged, which is a pretty good result. After fully charged, the screen brightness was set to maximum. And what do you think? It took about 9 hours of active work on the smartphone to completely discharge it. This result of long-term operation is achieved, thanks to the capacitive battery (thanks to the cap), as well as the low power consumption of the processor and display.
Another notable feature is the charging of other devices via the OTG cable. I will make a reservation that you can forget about charging Apple equipment. For strange reasons, the "apple" technique begins to behave inadequately and refuse this type of charge.

A pocket battery for emergency recharging of mobile devices is useful and relatively inexpensive, but still not free. At 8000 mAh, if you are not lucky with some kind of sale, it will cost two thousand.

So from the price of a new one, which received a price tag of 7,500 rubles at the start of sales, you can safely subtract a couple of thousand. A 3G smartphone with a normal 5-inch screen and an autofocus (albeit 5-megapixel) main camera for the top five with a tail - okay? Seems to be OK. So we write the device into interesting ones.

This is not to say that smartphones with batteries, whose capacity goes off scale from time to time on the market 5000 mAh, do not exist at all. They are there, but usually this is some kind of funny non-name with a random set of characteristics - on the website of a distant Chinese store, one thing, inside it can easily turn out to be another. in this respect it will be somewhat more reliable. And on the Russian market, this is definitely the only officially sold smartphone at the moment with an 8000 mAh battery. The weight, of course, corresponds to the content - 239 grams, and the thickness is also rather big - 15.5 mm. But in color options - with an orange and mint back, it doesn't look so scary. Black, of course, a hefty brick.

Well, the fact that the processor is modest and there is little memory - you didn't expect a miracle, right?
