From the standpoint of power consumption, there were two versions of the NVIDIA 9600 GT. The characteristics indicated the presence of a more efficient modification of this video card, the heat packet of which was 96 W. As a result, it is impossible to provide power supply of such a product with only one PCI Express slot with a limit of 75 W, and such video accelerators were equipped with an additional power connector to solve this problem.
