How to flash a Lenovo A328 smartphone with embedded rootshell and twrp recovery. "Lenovo A328". Firmware and its features Lenovo a328 official firmware

Flashing a smartphone is a pretty serious process for inexperienced users, or those who are flashing their smart for the first time. Today we will consider the method of flashing the Lenovo A328 smartphone. Hello everyone, Max is with you and blog !!!

As you may have noticed, I haven't written anything on the blog for a long time, there were good reasons for that. I recently got a Lenovo A328 gadget, of course, good or bad, I will not talk about any technical characteristics. Today we will focus on the firmware, how, what and why.

All manipulations with the phone you do at your own peril and risk!

What do we need to flash a smartphone

  • Accordingly, the gadget itself, the charge of which should be at least 50%, because a lot of energy is spent on the first start;
  • Computer with Windows XP / 7 / x64 or x86;
  • Cord for connecting to a computer;
  • Sober head and straight arms;

Downloading the firmware and required drivers - installing the USB driver

Download the archive with firmware, USB driver, software this link, then you need to unpack the archive to your desktop, or to the root of any disk, any.

Then open the LenovoUsbDriver_1.0.17 folder and start installing the driver, click on the exe file, in the window that opens, click "Next".

In the next window, press the "Next" button again, and you do not need to check any items.

The process of installing the driver will begin, wait a couple of seconds and click "Finish".

Installing the firmware mode driver

For Windows 7 / XP, right-click on the "My Computer" shortcut, select "Control" - "Device Manager".

Then we take out the battery from the gadget and connect it to the computer. An unidentified device will appear in Device Manager for about a couple of seconds.

Then, until it disappears, click on it with the right mouse button and select "Update driver". In the window that opens, tap on the item "Search for drivers on this computer."

And now we just need to indicate the path where we unpacked the driver ( I have this desktop). Click the "Browse" button, select our driver, click "Ok".

In the window that opens, confirm by clicking on the "Next" button. The driver installation process will begin. We press the button "Close".

If everything was done correctly, then the next device should appear in the device manager for a couple of seconds.

This completes the installation of the drivers.

Moving on to the firmware

The smartphone must be disconnected from the computer, then open the SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1336.0.198 folder and launch the Flash_Tool program by clicking on the EXE file. The start window of the program looks like this.

Next, put a tick on the DA DL ALL WITH Cheksum ( if you flash without this checkmark, the smart will not turn on, there is nothing wrong with that, you just have to ask again), click on the Firmware Upgrade button.

Then, we insert the battery into the device ( smart do not turn on), connect to the computer via USB-lanyard, the firmware process will start automatically.

Now you need to wait until the end of the firmware (this may take some time), if you did everything right, then upon completion of the firmware, you will be notified by this window.

Disconnect the smart from the USB-lanyard, close the program. Do not rush to turn on your smartphone if you want to get superuser rights (Root-rights), if not, then you can just start it in normal mode and use it. After flashing, the device turns on for quite a long time, do not be alarmed.

QUOTING:

What is Root

Root (from the English root - root; read "root"), or superuser - a special account in UNIX-like systems with an identifier (UID, User IDentifier) 0, the owner of which has the right to perform all operations without exception. Having access to the account of the main administrator, you automatically get not only full control over the operating system with the ability to customize your device in accordance with your preferences, but also a loophole for uninvited guests.

Root benefits

With full access to the superuser profile, you get a number of features that are not available during normal operation. First of all, getting Root makes it possible to delete standard applications imposed by device manufacturers, change themes and shortcuts, as well as launch specialized applications that significantly expand the capabilities of a smartphone (usually such applications require Root rights). In addition, it becomes possible to modify system files (Recovery image, Bootloader or images displayed at boot), run Linux executable files, install applications on a memory card or transfer program cache to it. In some cases, after OS modifications, available only after obtaining Root rights, it is even possible to achieve a small, but still increase in the productivity of the battery life of the device.

Disadvantages of Root

As with everything else, getting Root access has its drawbacks. First of all, the device loses its warranty and in the case of "something like that", provided that you cannot roll back your "device" to the official firmware, it will have to be repaired exclusively at your own expense. The rutting procedure is simple - by doing everything in accordance with the descriptions you can achieve what you want, but if you have no experience, the potential risk remains - under an unfavorable set of circumstances, the device can turn into an unusable "brick". Another important drawback is that opening Root privileges implies intervention in system files and entails the loss of the ability to update "over the air" (install OTA updates). More precisely, the ability to update may not be lost, but the consequences of the update will be unpredictable. The most harmless of them is the loss of root privileges, but more fatal options are also possible - up to and including getting a "brick".

Getting Root - rights for Lenovo A328

To obtain Root rights, you need to boot into TWRP-recovery mode, for this we press the power key, for two, three seconds, we will hear a small vibration response, at this moment we release the power key and, at the same time, we hold down the plus and minus on the volume keys until the device is fully loaded into TWRP recovery mode. Click on the "Reboot" button.

In the next window, click on the "Power off" button, move the slider to the right, the device will turn off.

Then we immediately turn it on, be patient, the device turns on for a very long time. After turning on the smartphone, we find the SuperSU Installer icon and click on it.

Then press "TWRP", then "Continue", Smart will reboot. Go to the menu, find the "Super SU" icon, open the program, go to "Settings", put a tick on the item "Superuser allowed".

On this I will end my post, I hope this article will come in handy for the owners of this smartphone. In the future, I will publish articles on this topic. Subscribe to blog updates, read, experiment, write comments ... Bye everyone !!!

Sincerely,

Firmware is an important part of any device. If on small gadgets like a player, the version of the system does not play a special role, then on smartphones the new OS reveals its potential to the maximum. You can flash the device in any specialized service, but you can also do this on your own. Having dealt with all the nuances, the user will be able to quickly and efficiently change the system at any time.

Why is this needed?

Why do you need a phone firmware The main task of reinstalling the OS is to achieve stable operation. Over time, the old system "clogs up" and starts to work slower, there are failures and freezes. A change of firmware will correct the situation. However, in addition to stable work, the user will receive many more advantages.

Installed in the firmware will expand the capabilities of the device. Very often, a new OS differs from its predecessor in functionality. The updated system is optimized, has additional features, and also supports more applications.

Installation methods

The user should understand that for Lenovo A328, firmware is a certain risk. Most of the methods require the phone to be hacked, which in turn results in the loss of the warranty. Although not worth worrying about, the chances of problems with the new system are extremely low.

There are several ways to carry out the firmware. There are no particular differences in the quality of the installation, so you should choose a more convenient method. The only difference is the length of the process.

The firmware is installed using a computer or through the phone itself. In both cases, the user will need additional software and driver installation. The process goes through a PC a little faster, the user will be able to observe the actions of the program. If you install using a smartphone, you will have to wait a little longer.

Firmware selection

The user needs to correctly define the system. Each firmware installed in Lenovo A328 is unique in its own way. The official version has a standard build, but the "custom" versions can be very different.

Together with the system offered by the manufacturer, the user receives a standard set of programs and functions. In the revised versions, some applications, widgets and icons are missing. The official Android firmware will be the most stable. Lenovo A328 works without problems on most "custom" systems. When choosing a firmware, be sure to study its features.

Installation via PC

It will be much easier for the user to deal with through a computer. With this installation method, you will need: a USB cable, a battery charge of about 50%, firmware, drivers.

First you need to find a suitable version of the system. This can be done on the official website or on other Internet resources. It is advisable to choose the official firmware, but some "custom" ones will also show themselves well. After downloading the OS, prepare your PC for installation. The user needs to install drivers to connect the device via USB.

You can find drivers on the network or using a special program from LenovoUsbDriver. You can also use Device Manager. This method allows you to automatically find the driver.

Then the user will need a firmware program. For Lenovo A328, you can use a simple and reliable SP application. After launching the program, you need to click on the Scatter File, specify the path to the previously saved firmware and open it. After that, you need to check the box next to DA DL ALL WITH and click on the Firmware Upgrade button. The user should now connect the disconnected device via USB. The process will start automatically and its progress will be displayed at the bottom in the status bar. The action takes about five minutes, upon completion the program will notify the user of the result.

After flashing, disconnect the device from the cord and start. Turning on the device for the first time on a new system takes a long time, so you should wait.

Recovery

By installing a special program, you can flash the device without additional funds. You just need to find the system you need and save it directly to your phone's flash drive.

Firmware using Recovery requires Root rights. The user must weigh the pros and cons, as there is a possibility of losing the warranty. To get Root, you need to download the TWRP Recovery file corresponding to the device model. You will also need the Mobileuncle MTK Tools program.

Then you should start getting Root rights. To do this, you need to launch Mobileuncle and select the TWRP file located on the flash drive using the "Recovery Update". After that, the phone should be restarted.

You can start "Recovery" when you turn on the device using a combination of buttons, which is different for each device. Most often, in Lenovo, you should hold down the power key and volume controls to enter Recovery.

Having launched "Recovery", the user should go to the Wipe section and go to Cache - Dalvik - Data - System. In the "System" tab, click Internal SD and select the firmware. After start-up, a continuous installation begins. The first launch of the device is also long.

Lenovo A328 mobile phone is the best choice for connoisseurs of a combination of good price and high quality. It works reliably, handling a ton of daily tasks. At the same time, sometimes users have a need to reflash a given mobile device in order to make it work better.

  1. Downloading the program with which the firmware will run.
  2. Launch the Flash Tool.
  3. In the window that appears, select the Scatter-loading option, getting into the folder where the firmware files are extracted. Next, select the firmware file.

  8. We disconnect the phone from the computer, insert the battery and turn on the device.
  9. We launch the smartphone, set the initial settings and check if it works normally.

If after installing the firmware drivers in the "Dispatcher" you see an incorrect display of the model name of the mobile device, then do not worry. This is permissible and completely normal.

If it so happens that you do not have time to click on the device in the "Task Manager", then it will be enough to disconnect it and reconnect it.

Do not forget that before starting the software update, the battery charge must be at least one third of the total. Ideally, it will have a fully charged battery.

In case you do not observe the start of the phone's firmware procedure after connecting it to the computer, we recommend making sure that the charging indication is present on the screen. If it is not there, then remove the cable from the phone, and after 30 seconds plug it back in.

Lenovo A328 review

I won't write much about the phone, since my wife's phone number. He worked for about a year and a half without any complaints, then he simply did not turn on. More precisely, the download always stopped after the logo was displayed on the screen, then it stopped showing any signs of life altogether. Here, I'm trying to reanimate.
