Texet X-driver - Specifications. review of an off-road smartphone with a sad screen Protected smartphones texet x driver

What did not like

When the network level is weak, sometimes an internal error occurs. Either rebooting or switching to / from airplane mode helps.

What did not like

body fluid !!!

What we liked

camera, processor speed, package bundle is the same as texet 3204-R

What did not like

fell - the glass cracked, it did not affect the work, but there are no spare parts, after another fall - the plastic ears flew off the back cover of the phone, the back steel and rubberized cover remained in place thanks to the upper bolts, but the lower part began to protrude. I had to seal it tightly with superglue .. In the end, with a slight pressure, the glass gave a lot of cracks .. and it (the phone) became impossible to use, there was only one cobweb on the screen.

What we liked

Large, makes an impression on others, worked fine

What did not like

1. After a while, the battery begins to wobble in the case. It is treated by putting a piece of paper under the back cover.
2. In the factory firmware, the camera was 5MP. After flashing, + 3MP was added :-) and the next glitch appeared - after a long time outside the network - the phone cannot be reached even in the city. Restarting the device helps.
3. Bluetooth is not very long-range. If you carry the bodies in a backpack, bluetooth headphones will not work. They can only be caught in a belt bag or in a side pocket of pants.
4. screen for 3 points, compared with iPhone.
5. Heavy - excessive strength, in my opinion. This is not a problem for me, of course.
6. At maximum volume, the speaker wheezes at times.
7. Charges for 4-5 hours, provided that you use a standard charger - 1A. In the USB port of the computer - 500mA or less - it takes 8-10 hours to charge.
8. The back cover is bolted onto the plastic corners! one unsuccessful fall and one of the corners cracked, now the lid does not close tightly - you can forget about waterproofing.
9. Another fall and the flash stopped working.

What we liked

1.Strong, fell on the tile from the pocket several times. I did not check for water resistance. 2. On average, the battery lasts for three days. 3. GPS, works fine, sensors are not buggy.

What did not like

1. The device lives its own life. The problem is that the screen is not locked during a call. Hence - and early disconnections, and changes in settings that occur by themselves, and call switching at the time of the conversation, and a bunch of all sorts of "charms". It turns out, you buy a product, and in order to bring it to mind you need to find and install additional software somewhere so that this damn screen is locked as it should be by default.
2. The "shockproof" device has a battery inside the case dangling like a rattle.
From time to time, after losing power, it turns off. Therefore, in order for the device to actually become shockproof, a folded piece of paper must be placed under the battery (as someone has already suggested). Funny. I invite marketers from TEXET to be entrepreneurial and supplement the range of accessories with a special insert paper!
3. The flash LED died, it is also a flashlight.
In short, this is not a smartphone. This is a cynical spit in your direction, dear customer.

What we liked

The body is sturdy and really is not afraid of water

What did not like

All the rest

What we liked

Appearance

What did not like

For a waterproof phone, the warranty card says that the warranty is canceled if water or traces of liquid inside the device are found.

What did not like

the phone is a complete flaw, the sensor worked badly from the very beginning, it constantly does something wrong even during a call ... It is cut out by itself. The speaker flew after 8 months. This G was not taken for repair under warranty, since the screen crashed. Protection also turns out not ice. And the appropriate ending is that if the hardware needs to be replaced in the phone, in my case the microphone, it cannot be repaired. The official service center said you can throw it out.

What we liked

protective bumper

What did not like

Fragile lid
-Fragile glass
-As a consequence of the above, it is NOT shockproof
-The plugs wear out over time and bend in one place, break and even spare plugs do not save, since the rubber deteriorates over time even without use.
-The camera takes pictures only with sound and the sound cannot be turned off even in silent mode
-Practically not repaired in service workshops
-The manufacturer texet itself does not know how to solve the above problems, but continues to release this phone model.
-Carabiner flew out together with a plastic partition

What we liked

Brutal design -Rubberized body that prevents falling from the hand

What did not like

The headphone plug does not hold well, pops out, which means that it will not protect against water .. After a reboot, some shortcuts from the work screens disappear. There are no mechanical buttons for receiving a call and releasing the camera, which would be very nice for a protected person.

What we liked

Appearance, body strength. Capacious battery. After the purchase, it turned out that the system memory was 2GB, which is a rarity for protected devices. And the price.

What did not like

There is no decent navigator.
A strap would be on a belt, instead of a carabiner.

What we liked

The appearance is super. REALLY not afraid of liquids and shocks. (TESTED. The builder himself. Cement, withstood height and water). Good battery, 5 hours surfing-10%. The body is solid, but not titanium.

What did not like

The software is very slippery .......:
1) with a long-term poor connection quality, the GSM module hangs on SIM 1 without any warnings (it can only be treated by rebooting the device) Yes, but until you notice that the connection does not work for you, many can not get through For a phone with such a swing to off-roadness, this bug should generally be we will not accept it (I think that the developers have long been obliged to fix this programmatically).
2 times in 3-6 days begins to unreasonably blunt .... Does EVERYTHING slowly. It is treated with a reboot.
3) I would like that when you tied a specific number to a specific SIM, you are not asked every time with which SIM to call this number.
4) I don’t know if the support service is answering, but for 4 days there is no answer to the questions sent. While ignoring. If they answer, I will change the review by writing after how long the answer was given.
4.1) On December 24, there is still no answer, apparently there will not be any.
5) the flash LED began to shine after a couple of months of operation at a quarter of the power, we can assume that it does not work.

What we liked

1Water resistance (tested repeatedly in PM and sea water) 1.1) Leakage as a result due to the fact that the rear lenses that protect the flash and the camera began to dangle, apparently peeled off. Yes, but the dust from the inside is now more than necessary. 2) Really shockproof in PM and glass (dropped from more than a meter on concrete with glass) 3) In general, he thinks quickly enough. 4) The battery as a whole does not hold up badly (2-5 days)

The Alkotel Electronic Systems Company presents the absolute leader in terms of security and functionality - the new brutal teXet X-driver smartphone. The shock-resistant body of the novelty, like a tank armor, protects the device from falls and natural disasters. The device has an international class of protection against moisture and dust IP68, which guarantees complete dustproofness and safe immersion to a depth of more than one meter. X-driver users have at their disposal the full potential of a modern smartphone, the functionality of two SIM cards and a large 4-inch display that allows them to comfortably use the Internet and view multimedia.

For a long time, the strength of the design of the phone and the powerful "stuffing" were mutually exclusive concepts. With the launch of the first rugged smartphone TM-3200R teXet ushered in a new era of reliable devices that are not inferior in capabilities to the technical innovations of their generation. X-driver - the third smartphone in the line of rugged devices - continues this trend, however, unlike its predecessors TM-3200R and TM-3204R, it has the highest protection class against water and dust IP68. X-driver is built on the basis of a Qualcomm MSM8225 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz and Android OS 4.0.4. The 768 MB RAM reserve is enough for fast and correct work with applications and games.

The safety of the functional components of the smartphone is guaranteed by high-strength plastic. For maximum protection, the case is reinforced with internal metal plates located under the screen and on the back wall of the interior of the case. All connectors are equipped with special plugs that prevent moisture and dust from entering. The back cover has a rubberized coating and is secured with two metal screws.

The smartphone is equipped with a high-quality capacitive 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels and support for multi-touch. The viewing angles of the screen make text and other information easy to read, even in bright sunlight. To protect the display, a unique Japanese high-strength glass ASAHI Glass is used, which is three times thicker than glass in conventional smartphones.

Whatever scenario the events unfold, X-driver is always ready to capture them in photos and videos. The 8.0 megapixel main camera guarantees excellent image quality, while the 0.3 megapixel front camera is useful for video calls. The protective characteristics of the device allow you to shoot even underwater; a flash is provided for night shots.

The new model is also perfect as a reliable device for everyday life. The smartphone has 3G and WiFi communication modules, which makes the resources of the World Wide Web as accessible as possible. Thanks to the built-in GPS-module, X-driver is convenient to use as a car navigator. Users can download navigation software and an interface for the built-in electronic compass from the “teXet Recommends” catalog on each device.

The smartphone supports the operation of two SIM cards, which makes it possible to optimize the costs of mobile communications and GPRS Internet and simultaneously use different tariff plans. A Bluetooth module is provided for data exchange between devices.

To always stand out from other objects, the X-driver received a striking body design with a combination of bright yellow and black. Complementing the aggressive aesthetics of the smartphone is the grooved surface of the back cover, the pattern of which mimics the tread of an SUV wheel.

The battery with a capacity of 2500 mAh is responsible for the long operating time of the novelty. The battery will be sufficient for six hours of talk time, eight hours of data transfer and 450 hours of standby time.

teXet X-driver is the only smartphone on the Russian market with an international IP68 protection class capable of solving diverse tasks in circumstances in which conventional technology is absolutely powerless: the device guarantees stable operation in frost, in water, in a dusty storm and will withstand a fall from a height. The protected novelty is primarily aimed at active people, representatives of extreme professions, athletes, and will also be of interest to ordinary users who are looking for a functional smartphone.

This smartphone promises a lot to extremals, active athletes and autotourists, that is, to all those who wanted to move away from the benefits of civilization, but did not dare to abandon the familiar and universal gadget for Android.

Let's try to figure out whether the acclaimed domestic smartphone teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R met the expectations of the fans. Reviews, characteristics, pros, cons of the model, as well as expert opinions on the St. Petersburg brainchild "Alcatel" - in the review.

A little educational program

Such devices have existed on the mobile device market for a long time. If we do not focus on various military and industrial equipment such as geodetic instruments, walkie-talkies and other heavy-duty terminals, we will see that long before the appearance of the first mobile phone, the mass consumer was offered shockproof and waterproof watches - first mechanics, and a little later electronics.

Every year, cellular communication develops and multiplies its consumer, - moisture-proof and reinforced designs of mobile gadgets begin to appear. At first, the devices were protected only from splashing water or rain. The pioneers in this segment were the brands Siemens and Nokia, which released in the early 2000s. shock and moisture resistant models "Nokia" 5210/5100/5140 and "Siemens" ME45 / M65 / M75. The gadgets turned out to be quite decent for themselves, but times have changed a lot, and in today's realities this class has gone under the wing of the Chinese.

The design recipe for such devices is practically the same for all Chinese brands. They take the usual and unremarkable stuffing of some budget gadget, put a simple platform with a mediocre screen and camera, and then all this is dressed in solid "armor". Some companies that are especially concerned about the client and their reputation equip devices with capacious and high-quality batteries, and sometimes add something interesting like a walkie-talkie.

Then the resulting device is sold under some big name - "Jeep", "Land Rover" and others like him, or offered to foreign distributors, that is, OEM brands who have the right to stick any label on this gadget and pack it in their branded box.

"Texet"

Any sensible OEM brand, which St. Petersburg Texet is supposed to be, fights with Chinese suppliers not only for the price, but also for the quality of mobile products, which, as a rule, varies greatly among eastern companies, and in everything - in materials, assembly, electronic components and even software.

Despite all the factors and nuances, we will consider the teXet smartphone as an independent product that has gone through the bureaucratic and very picky Russian certification, which means that it will be burdened with any kind of warranty and service.

Equipment

The box is made of high quality and fairly durable cardboard. It is pleasant to hold it in your hands, the packaging does not "smell" of second-rate consumer goods: colorful design, a brief description of the gadget on the back and signs of compliance with Russian standards and communication systems.

Completeness:

  • X-driver Quad TM-4082R itself;
  • the manual is completely in Russian;
  • with USB and micro-USB outputs for synchronization with a personal computer;
  • hands-free headset;
  • a carabiner with a nylon strap, a compass and a small element for removing the cover;
  • caps for headset (3.5 mm) and mains charger.

The package bundle is clearly incomplete for this kind of gadgets. If the device is intended for extreme lovers who are going to conquer mountains, forests and fields, then for sure the only possible source of charging the phone will be the car, and not the usual 220 V. But the charger for the car, alas, is not in the box with the teXet X-driver Quad TM- 4082R. Reviews on this matter are unambiguous: the owners believe that you can easily do without a toy compass and a strap with a flimsy carabiner, which serve as unnecessary entourage, but instead of them it would be better to put at least some kind of cigarette lighter adapter.

First impressions

For a person accustomed to working with ordinary smartphones, the gadget visually looks like "Wow!" In terms of tactile sensations, the device offers a completely different operating experience than a conventional smartphone.

The design turned out to be quite heavy and thick - 261 grams with a thickness of 18.3 mm. The body is rubberized with massive sidewalls and fits firmly in the palm of your hand. One gets the impression that one is holding some kind of serious industrial device, such as a construction or surveying instrument.

Design teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R

Reviews regarding the design are ambiguous, it's a matter of taste - someone likes it, but for someone it's lurid and repulsive. The V-shaped slit of the speaker, flashes on the back, the shape of the nameplate and the holes of the cameras - all this does not look like outright plagiarism and looks decent, but somewhere even pretty and organic. Moreover, all claims to the design are dissolved and leveled in the general brutality of the gadget, that is, in its extreme tourist style.

If you look at modern mobile devices that have captured the entire market, which cannot be called anything other than a flat "spatula", the class of shock-resistant and moisture-resistant gadgets remains the only segment where design ideas can somehow unfold (just like in the era of push-button devices). It is quite another matter that the venerable A-brands do not want to take any part in the development of the class, and all stylistic notes are set by Chinese designers with their specific methods and taste preferences, which could not but affect the teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R ... Reviews of the owners note the presence of a long-forgotten classic style in the gadget, which also adds to the device of fans of retro-styling. Otherwise, this is an ordinary device: a little "rough", but at the same time with a grain of grace.

Platform

The teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R was built, the performance characteristics of which will be given below), as they say, according to all the "laws of the genre" of protected gadgets. The basis is taken, though not the weakest, but the budget platform, which, by the way, outperformed quite a few direct competitors in benchmarks. The device is equipped with a quad-core processor of the MT6582 series, has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of its own memory on board for user needs.

TeXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R (firmware 4.4.18.02.15 Jelly Bean) feels great in 2G and 3G GSM networks, and also correctly supports all major wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols. GPS and FM radio modules are available.

As such, the branded customization of the teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R (for this reason, you can not even imagine a software review, because there is simply nothing to talk about) is not enough: a screen saver for standby mode and a couple of icons, where one contains a link to the recommended software with "Play Market", and the other is a set of paid subscriptions to news, horoscopes, weather, etc. In all other respects, the platform can be called "bare".

We must pay tribute to the St. Petersburg "Alcatel" for the fact that they did not stuff the teXet smartphone to the eyeballs with all sorts of advertising applets, as many similar companies do, especially on branded devices (MTS, Megafon, Beeline). Of course, they could not resist and sewed in an icon with subscriptions, but here it seems like everything is fair - the amount is announced and nothing is slipped on the sly.

Judging by the benchmarks, teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R (black) scored 18,845 points with great difficulty and ended up somewhere in the tail. But if we compare this with “monsters” virtually in terms of performance, while the “live” operating speed is quite comfortable for itself - the system synergizes well with the hardware inside: nothing freezes, does not slow down and does not podglyuchivaet.

Screen

As for the characteristics of the screen, then this is a matter of habit and pretentiousness. Naturally, if you had to hold a flagship smartphone with "SuperAmoled" and "Retin" spreads in your hands before, our "hero" screen 800 by 480 pixels looks like a dull dinosaur. By today's standards, in principle, it is so. But for gadgets of such a plan and characteristics, such screens are the norm, competitors also have more modest devices for the same price, so you don't have to turn your face too much.

In defense of such displays, we can say that it loads the system much less, significantly increasing the battery life, which is very important for extreme phones far from 220 V. The glass for the Texet smartphone is designed quite competently, so there are no problems with visualization. The only thing worth noting is that the picture clearly lacks brightness, and during the day and even in the close to evening time you have to twist the indicator by 100%. In direct sunlight, the screen fades (glass for a smartphone reflects all rays), and to read the information, the gadget needs to be covered with a hand or look for a shadow.

Connection

The flagship smartphone "Texet" is equipped with a dual SIM functionality with one radio module, that is, the alternating operation of SIM cards. You can call any of the cards in standby mode, but when a subscriber makes a call or transmits any other data on one SIM card, the other is automatically blocked. In terms of functionality, SIM cards are also separated: the first one works in 2G and 3G networks, and the second only works with 2G.

There are no critical remarks about the quality of the connection: the speaker, although not outstanding, but twisted to the maximum allows you to hear the interlocutor on a noisy street. The only negative, and this is probably the fault of the teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R case - the speaker cuts both high and low frequencies, so the voice at the other end sounds somehow unnatural. In the reviews of the owners, this point has been discussed more than once, but users do not consider this nuance a serious problem.

The same is observed with the microphone - the interlocutor hears you quite clearly, but unnaturally and with "dry" notes. The manufacturer sins on sealing, answering that the protection against water muffles high frequencies. The call signal is quite loud, so you can even hear it from a backpack behind your back. The vibration alert is very weak due to the massiveness of the case, which was quite expected.

Working in browsers is comfortable and does not cause serious complaints - the speed of 2G and 3G is similar to that of competing devices. The owners noticed one glitch in their reviews: if the connection from one card disappears and reappears, then the gadget does not find it, so you have to reboot the device to solve this problem. Apparently, the dust and moisture resistant smartphone does not hold a weak signal as well as we would like.

Camera

On the official website of the company, the specification indicates the following camera characteristics: the front one is 1.3 megapixels, and the main one is 8 megapixels. Either the manufacturer has confused something, or there are some variable models, but gadgets with slightly different characteristics flaunt on the main online trading platforms, just like on store shelves: the main camera is 5 megapixels (2880x1720 px) and the front camera is 0.3 Mp (640x480 px).

The St. Petersburg "Alcatelites" do not give any comments, therefore it is not clear whether individual parties are assembled in this way, or such an immodest interpolation was made. In any case, if you hurry up properly, you can get the parts you need for the teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R (preferably branded) and replace the cameras with more sensible ones. It is better to do this in a service center, there may also be all the components necessary for this procedure.

By modern standards, the pictures are not so bad, but some kind of faceless: the module is clearly budgetary and you should not expect anything special from it. In the classic mode (point and shoot), the result can be the most unpredictable: sometimes, even in poor lighting, the pictures are more or less normal, and in ideal light - some kind of blur and fading.

Very often in the frame, sharpness is blurred and blurred areas are visible almost everywhere. Also, the camera suffers from incorrect gamma calibration (lies in color). In general, there will be enough available opportunities for Instagram, and it’s okay to show your friends “how we went on a hike”.

There is nothing special to say about the front camera - connoisseurs of beautiful selfies against the backdrop of picturesque places will have to rest. Of course, if you “sniff” a portrait as a souvenir, you can see the face, but this camera, alas, is not suitable for something serious.

Video

The device can record video in a more or less acceptable by modern standards resolution of 1920 by 1088 pixels (exactly at 1088, not 1080), which also indicates the presence of interpolation (stretching the frame by software).

The quality of the video is roughly on par with the photos - the same budget and dull. The disadvantages of the camera are especially noticeable in low light conditions: sharpness, detail decreases and fog appears. In the deepening twilight or drizzling weather, it will not work to record some more or less sensible video.

The gadget can be used as a car DVR by downloading the necessary software from the same Play Market, which is, without exaggeration, a dime a dozen there. We talked about the picture (everything is bad), but what the dust and moisture resistant smartphone "Texet" can boast of is the range of reading car numbers. The capabilities of the gadget are somewhat superior to similar profile devices that write in HD-resolution, although they do not reach Full HD-imaging. The capture angle, of course, is less than that of ordinary navigators, but we still have a smartphone in our hands, and not a full-fledged car gadget.

Autonomous work

The smartphone is equipped with a very good 3100 mAh battery. In the most active mode, the device will last about 4.5 hours. Web surfing, calls, SMS will drain the battery in 6.5 hours. If you use a headset and minimize the brightness, then the phone will last for 12-13 hours of video viewing. You can use the gadget directly as a phone for several days.

It makes no sense to install all kinds of "optimizers", "accelerators" and "battery doctors", so actively advertised by the "Texet" company itself. All these applications will hang in the device's memory and also "eat" the rechargeable battery.

Protection

The protection class declared by the St. Petersburgers according to the unified European classification is IP68. This means the ability to work in a submerged state (number 8) and complete isolation from dirt and dust (number 6). There are also some nuances here: the classification does not stipulate the time or depth of immersion with the device, leaving this moment to the conscience of the manufacturer.

The official resource "Texet" and the detailed manul for the gadget are silent on this matter, and the instructions sometimes contain light puns like: "despite the shock resistance, the body of the smartphone cannot be called shockproof." On the one hand, this seems to be correct, because ordinary gadgets can have the same Sony devices, but the manufacturer does not recommend dropping them. The standard that allows you to "drop" the device on any hard surface is MIL-STD-810G (military), but in our case it is not declared.

Nevertheless, the impact resistance of the gadget, both on the website and in the description, is unambiguously emphasized. Specifically, it is said that the body has been reinforced with metal plates on the back wall and under the screen, and in addition, the display is additionally equipped with special Asahi glass, which, according to the text, is "three times thicker than ordinary glasses for smartphones."

Summarizing

If you look at the cost of the teXet X-driver Quad TM-4082R smartphone (the price is about 10,000 rubles), its main characteristics and other secondary indicators, then, in comparison with direct competitors, the gadget looks very advantageous and even dumps somewhere. And this despite the fact that a venerable device from some "Sony" or the same "Apple" exceeds the mark of 60 thousand rubles and differs, as a rule, only in high-speed filling (well, why, in fact, a gaming device ).

In general, the model leaves a pleasant impression of operation. The smartphone is really tenacious, and, having passed the "fire and water", it continues to work without any glitches or other failures. It seems that if you do not deliberately drown the device at a depth and do not kill it on stones, then it will live with you happily ever after. And in general, when buying this kind of gadgets, you should not delude yourself that they will withstand an atomic strike or a worldwide flood. By and large, such a device has a good 50% fashion function, to some extent harmoniously complementing the beautiful outfit.

As a permanent mobile help "Texet" can be recommended only to those who, by all means, want to be unique among friends and colleagues, lovers of extreme tourist style and financially limited patriots.

Review of a smartphone-SUV with a sad screen

30.12.2013

Lyrical introduction

I got my first mobile phone, if I'm not mistaken, in the middle of 2000. Over the past time, I have two broken glasses and three phone calls. One throw of a smartphone into a wall and numerous falls that did not lead to serious injuries are not counted. The average is one accident in sixteen months.

Of the three falls into the water, one was fatal. Minus about ten thousand rubles. Two glass replacements cost another six thousand. Total unforeseen expenses due to own curves of the hands - a little more than a thousand rubles a year.

Is it worth it to look in the direction of waterproof and shockproof devices? In my case, perhaps not. It hurts too expensive pleasure. But not everyone is as neat as I am (well, you understand, you can't praise yourself ...).

Here's an interesting question, by the way. And how much does high-quality shockproofing cost? Does it greatly increase the cost of a smartphone? They seem to have learned how to make inexpensive protection from bathing. See Huawei Honor 3 for example. There is nothing supernatural there, but the device will not suffer from a short stay in the water.

But the cheap shockproofness on sale is something that is not visible.

Synthetic tests:

Sensors. There is a light sensor, there is a proximity sensor. Accelerometer - where is it without it. They did not forget about the compass. But there is no gyroscope. The excesses of the thermometer type, unfortunately, too. By the way, it's a pity. Taking into account the fact that the device is qualitatively waterproof, it would be convenient for them to measure the temperature of the water before bathing.

Communication with the outside world

3G internet. Works, no problems identified.

Wi-Fi - of course, where without it. Standard b / g / n. The sensitivity is slightly below average. The speed is normal, no problem.

Bluetooth version 2.1.

It is connected to a computer via USB in the "two flash drives" mode - an internal area plus a memory card.

There is no possibility of connecting external devices (USB-OTG).

No pleasant frills like LTE, NFC and MHL were found.

Screen

Officially, we have an IPS-matrix here, four inches, a resolution of 480x800.

Really. Pleasant colors, good color temperature (7000K), quite acceptable contrast ratio (550: 1), good viewing angles from three sides... From the fourth side (bottom) - turn off the light. Everything is really bad - see the video demonstrating how it works.

By the way, who would explain to me: this behavior - when there is a bad view from one of the sides - does it generally happen with IPS matrices? Or is it still TN?

Another problem with the screen is that it is dim. The maximum brightness is 137.1 cd / m2. For comparison, the Huawei Honor 3, which I show in the video next to the X-driver, has a brightness of over 400 cd / m2. Quite frankly, this is the dimmest smartphone I've ever seen. The previous record holder was Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 DUO, which has about 160 cd / m2.

Sensor. Tolerant, but slightly dull. Plus the screen is not smooth enough, your finger slides on it a little worse than usual. Unaccustomed, this leads to small problems in toys, where a quick and clear reaction is needed. Like Temple Run and the like. Perhaps you can get used to it over time.

Screen prints remain full-length. They are not rubbed off too easily.

Operating system and other software

The smartphone has a rather ancient operating system for the end of 2013, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

There are not too many preinstalled software. Unfortunately, for the most part it is not removable.

Battery

The battery capacity is 2500 mAh, i.e. roughly on par with the Galaxy S4, which we have taken as a benchmark in battery tests. The X-driver holds a charge slightly better than its eminent rival, but not much, unfortunately. Actually, I expected more. Still, a modest hardware, a modest screen. The gaming test was especially disappointing. Only 3:20. It will not be enough!

Video is recorded at a maximum resolution of 640x480, 15 frames per second, sound is mono. At the same time, for some reason, for some reason, an even more modest size is set - 320x240 (also 15 frames).

The front camera is the smallest, only 0.3 mpix. Sample photos? Let's not talk about sad things.

teXet TM-4104R X-driver as a GPS navigator

The "cold" search for satellites on the windowsill took 17 minutes. With the use of auxiliary means, satellites are caught instantly. We don't know how to catch GLONASS, only imported GPS.

Not the best navigator. Not really bad. Mediocre. But the battery could work more decently, and the screen ...

teXet TM-4104R X-driver as video player

Everything is standard, nothing new. The preinstalled players are not omnivorous. So we use MX Player or something else. It's better to forget about FullHD viewing. "Just HD" looks fine.
