By default, your Google Account password is used to access the synchronized data, but you can also set your own passphrase. Then, with a new installation of the browser, you will need to enter both the password and the code word.

The passphrase cannot be forgotten and cannot be canceled either. Otherwise, you will have to delete all synchronized data in your Google Chrome account.

Total, if you use all the methods, you will have to enter:

1. Google account email and password
2. Double Authentication PIN
3. Passphrase

It seems that all this is too complicated, but in fact, it is enough to log in once, and I would not use the code word at all. Now, on any new tab in the upper right corner, your name will flaunt - as a sign that you are logged into your account.

We give it (the file) any convenient name (by default, bookmarks with the current date will be offered), check the format, which should be .html, and specify the location. That is, you can immediately save to disk, to a USB drive or send this document to the cloud service.

A context menu will open from which you need to select the item Bookmarks - Bookmarks manager. The browser will open a tab called Bookmark Manager. Also, the Bookmark Manager can be opened by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + O keys on the keyboard at the same time.

In this window, you need to click on Manage and select from the context menu Export Chrome bookmarks to HTML file. A window will open in which you need to select the location where the bookmarks will be exported from Chrome and click the Save button. After that, find the file and transfer it to a USB flash drive that you insert into another computer and repeat all the steps that were described above, that is, open the Bookmark Manager. Then click on Manage and select Import Chrome Bookmarks to HTML File from the context menu. A window will open in which you find your previously saved file on the USB flash drive and click the Open button. After that, all bookmarks will appear in the browser.
If you press the Ctrl + Shift + B keys on the keyboard at the same time, then the Google Chrome bookmarks panel will open under the address bar. If you add several quick bookmarks to the bookmarks bar in the Google Chrome Bookmarks Manager, they will be displayed under the address bar.

How to restore bookmarks in google chrome

If you did not export bookmarks to an HTML file, then you can restore Google Chrome bookmarks with a special program. After launching the program in the first window called Files of type, leave the All files item and click Next.
