ICloud account login. ICloud account login Example icloud com mail

Many people have a question how to log into their icloud account from a computer and from a phone, if there was a failure when entering. In this article I will tell you everything about the entrance to icloud.

Download the file, wait for the download to finish, install the application on your computer (it will be in the form iCloudSetup.exe ) and, first of all, enter your ID. After that, you will need to "turn on" the device, i.e. go through the activation and click the "apply" button.

There is an option to sign in and work with iCloud online.

This will require:

1. Open the official website,
2. In the window that appears, enter your Apple ID and click "OK"
3. The "Cloud" will open for you, but know that this is only a web-version, which provides the ability to work only with some iCloud functions.

To change the Cloud settings for yourself, open Settings -\u003e iCloud. By moving the sliders in various options (Contacts, Music, Photos, etc.), you can disable and enable the functions you want.

This information is suitable for owners of the Apple brand. But what about those who use the Android platform but need to sign in to iCloud? This method also exists! To do this, you need to download applications from Google Play that support IMAP and SMPT. After installing the app, you enter your email address and password. And when the line "Username" appears, you will need to enter @ icloud.com. This is what will allow you to log into iCloud from Android.

Failure to sign in to iCloud

Nothing can last forever, which is why people often run into problems with applications. Let's consider some of them.

1. If you cannot log into iCloud, try going to , where you can see the state of the system. This will show if any work is currently underway that could affect the application.
2. Check if you have updated your gadget software to the latest version.
3. Carefully enter your ID again, if it is not automatically saved and every time you enter it again. Perhaps you are typing the wrong password, or you have Caps Lock turned on.
4. Make sure to enter the password from the ID in iCloud!
5. Check your iCloud settings, maybe they just got lost and you, for example, logged out of your account. You need to re-enter your password and login.
6. It happens that when you try to log into iCloud, a message appears like "Account not verified" or "Failed to sign in." But this problem is easy to solve! You need to change the password by resetting the old settings. This can be done as follows:

Go to the website iforgot.apple.com/ru → Enter your ID in the window that appears and click "Continue" → Choose a convenient way for you to reset your password and click "Continue" again → Then come up with and enter a new password. This usually fixes the problem.

7. It may be that the storage capacity is full. In this case, you will be offered the function of expanding the amount of memory, or you can "clean" your storage yourself by deleting old files.
8. One of the most common problems is the message that the iCloud service is not available for your region. If you think this is incorrect and has not experienced this issue before, contact Apple Support.

How to restore access to iCloud

Using iCloud is not a very simple function, but with a little bit of research, you will perfectly start to understand all the intricacies. Good luck!

Icloud.com mail is an integral part of all Apple services.

Registration with the postal service cloud service Apple is only available to owners of devices from this manufacturer. This feature became available in July 2012.

It should be mentioned here that the owners postal addresses with the @ me.com or @ mac.com domain are automatically assigned addresses on the @ icloud.com domain.

In this case, the first part of the address remains unchanged.

On the icloud.com email account, registration is as follows.

Create account

In the device settings, you will need to select the item "Mail, addresses, calendars" and add new account , with which it is even possible to log into icloud.com mail from a computer.

In the list of supported services, you will need to select iCloud.

After that, you need to start.

The first step is to indicate the date of birth. Subsequently, it will be useful to restore access to your account.

The next step is to enter your own name and surname.

In the next paragraph, it becomes possible to use an existing e-mail or register it on iCloud.

The procedure for creating such an e-mail is not much different from others. First you need to choose a login

Then enter and confirm the password. It is extremely important to choose a complex, but easy to remember password.

To restore lost access to your account, you will need to use a secret question.

Now you can confirm / deny receiving advertising mailings.

Then you can read the user agreement and accept it (otherwise the account will not be created).

Upon completion, the account will be permanently created. The new account is immediately ready to use.

The account ID can be corrected at any time.

This completes the registration process. You can now log into icloud.com mail using the account you just created.

Mail icloud.com setup

The new account is immediately ready to receive emails. However, there are several parameters that are capable of doing the job with by email more convenient.

Display

First you need to open mail on your Apple device. All addresses are grouped in it.

There is a group "All mailboxes", which displays correspondence from all e-mail addresses in which the user of the device is authorized.

There is also one folder for each account, and a “VIP” folder, which contains letters from separately specified addresses.

The most convenient way will be to use the "All mailboxes" folder, since it accumulates incoming mail at all addresses.

Therefore, some unused folders can be hidden. This is done as follows.

In an open mail client you will need the "Boxes" menu, at the top of which there is a "Change" button.

Clicking on it opens the folder display settings.

Such flexible settings appeared in the seventh version of iOS. In this menu, you can enable the sorting of letters by different criteria.

The "Attachments" item will select in a separate group all letters with attached files and other attachments.

Also, owners of several email addresses will appreciate the ability to group all sent emails into one folder, so that you don't have to search for recent mail among your accounts.

It also provides the ability to disable unused groupings.

Thus, using the display menu, each user can customize the functionality of the mail service specifically for himself.

Adding your own folders

Each mailbox has several subfolders (sent, received, drafts, etc.). Navigating through them is very laborious and time-consuming.

Fortunately, Apple's mail manager has the ability to move some subfolders to the main mailer menu.

To do this, you need a menu for changing the list of folders from the previous subparagraph. At the bottom of it there is a "Add folder" item.

This action will open a list of all accounts and subfolders that they contain.

By simply adding a "checkmark" opposite the desired subfolder, it is transferred to the main menu.

These simple steps allow you to customize the display of folders in the best way.

Configuring email filters

Each mailbox can be equipped with a separate letter filter. To do this, you need to open it in a browser using.

In it, you will need to open the mail application and select the letter that will serve as the basis for the filter.

Then, in the lower right part of the window, click the parameters button and select the "Filters" item. This will open the filter settings window.

The address of the selected sender will already be indicated in the corresponding column.

Then you will need to assign a folder to which letters from a specific sender will be sent (or create a new one).

After these actions, the newly created filter will be in the list.

Important! In the mail manager iCloud it is possible to create correspondence filters by the address of the recipient, sender. Also, the subject line can serve as a basis for creating a filter.

The most common sorting by these parameters (although each user can customize it for himself):

  1. Promo - letters with commercial offers from shops, services and other companies that provide their services on special terms.
  2. Spam is advertising material that is of absolutely no interest to the user.
  3. "Favorite interlocutor" - correspondence that you want to separate into a separate folder for easy access.

What is iCloud. Full overview

In this video you will learn what Apple iCloud is, how to register in this synchronization system, set up and use.

Apple's iCloud app has long been considered convenient and useful for many users. So, this application works in the form of a cloud and allows users to access any file from any device.

Therefore, if the user has not yet registered in this application, then there is no need to postpone, since registration can be done from almost any device: smartphone, windows, Mac, and so on. This article will help you figure out how to register and work with an account.

Registering iCloud on a computer

It is worth noting that when connecting to iCloud through the windows system, users expect significant restrictions compared to the operation of Mac OS X. But, despite the restrictions, through this application it will be possible to access contacts, messages, calendar, bookmarks, reminders, and other standard functions.

To register and create an account in the windows system, you will need to install a number of programs, namely iCloud for Windows 4.0 and iTunes. The programs are free and can be downloaded on the Internet, but it's worth looking at the versions, because the newer it is, the better the program will work.

To create an account, you need to go to the website at the link: www.icloud.com. After going to the site page to enter your account, you need to click on the "create" item, which is located below the fields for filling in the data. In the menu that opens, the fields for filling in the data will be highlighted.

These include:
... name and surname;
... Country of Residence;
... Date of Birth;
... email address;
... password and password confirmation;

Security question, such as a favorite food or movie
... security question # 2, such as dream job or favorite artist, and so on;
... request for confirmation of sending announcements, news, new applications, and so on;
... captcha input.

Attention! In order to correctly create a password, you need at least 8 characters. This includes capital letters, numbers, and just letters. You cannot use repeating numbers in the password or the password that was used for the Apple ID.

After entering all these data, you need to click on "continue". Next, a window should appear in which you will be asked to confirm your email address.

You can confirm it by entering a 6-digit code, which should come to your email. After entering the code, you will need to click continue and then agree to the user agreement, in which the user must give permission to process personal data.

This completes the registration procedure and the user can easily log into the iCloud application for Windows and enter their data, then go to the account.

ICloud registration on mac OS X

Registration on Mac OS X is slightly different from the previous one.

So first you need to go to the Apple menu. Typically, the icon to open this menu is in the upper left corner of the screen. Next, you need to go to the item system settings, which are in the second section of the menu. Next, you need to go to iCloud.

After opening the program, you need to go to the Create Apple ID item, which will be located under the fields for filling in to log into your account.

After the transition, the user will be asked for data such as:
... name and surname;
... Date of Birth;
... E-mail address;
... password and its confirmation;
... three secret questions.

After entering all the information, you will need to click on next and put a tick next to the item that asks for the user to familiarize themselves with the instructions for use and for the processing of personal data.

Also, do not forget about the traditional verification of the email address and entering the code, which will already allow you to create an account and use it in the future.

Registering iCloud on iPhone

To register via iPhone or iPad, you first need to go to the settings and click on the section to enter the device. Next, you need to click on the option "I do not have an Apple ID or I forgot it." Accordingly, you need to click on the item create Apple ID, it is located at the top of the menu.

After confirmation for data processing, the user will be prompted to enter a code to unlock the device, it is usually indicated when the device is configured from the very beginning.

Attention! If the device has user data, notes, calendars and the user needs to combine them in one device, then this can be done after creating an account and clicking on the "combine" item.

After such a simple registration, you can already safely log into icloud and start working with the cloud.

ICloud account

In order to enter your icloud account, you only need to specify the password and Apple ID, which should be understood as the email password specified earlier. For those who also wish to have an additional address, this can be done by going to the settings, and then to the "add-ons" tab.

In the settings, you can also select the required amount of storage that will be needed for work. It is worth noting that the default volume is 5 GB, but it can be increased from 10 to 50, but additional gigabytes will require a monthly subscription.

To get started with iCloud, the user first needs to go to the settings and configure the necessary parameters for further work.

So you can use the checkboxes to mark the main applications in which the user will synchronize their data.

Also in the settings you can create a new mail that will be needed to work with notes.

In the storage settings, you can see the remnants of your remaining memory. You can also purchase additional memory in this menu and turn on sync with iCloud, since it will be turned off automatically after user registration.

You can get all the information you need to work with iCloud through your account. So after logging in, the user will open a virtual table, where information about all possible applications that are available on this server will be posted.

It is worth noting about such a useful feature on iCloud as "keychain". With this feature, you can store any social media posts such as Facebook or Twitter in the cloud.

To activate this function, you need to go to the settings and select the "keychain" item. Then put it into operation mode. After clicking on the activation of this mode, the system will ask you to enter the password to enter iCloud. After entering the password, the function will be automatically enabled.

Forgot iCloud password?

As mentioned above, the Apple ID server is used to log into iCloud, which allows you to reset the password in case the user has forgotten it.

So to do that, you need to make some changes to the My Apple ID page. Basically, you can change the password in the following ways:
... using an email address;
... through answers to security questions;
... through two-step verification.

Resetting your password and setting a new one via email is the fastest and most reliable way. So, in order to change the password in this way, it will simply be enough to perform the password reset procedure after the receipt of the letter by email.

But first, you need to go to the Apple ID page and go to the "reset password" section. After the transition, you need to choose a method for performing further actions.

Then a letter confirming the reset will be sent to the mail and only then the user will be able to change the password.

If you choose another method, you will need to answer the questions that were entered after registration. If the user does not remember the answers to these questions, then he will need to contact technical support. This can be done after going to the item "contacting technical support" and there already select the item "password and security questions".

You can also call the support service yourself and find out what to do if you have lost answers to security questions and your mail address.

Basically, the operator can advise the user to recover the password using two-step verification. This can be done only if such a verification has already been entered in the settings on the main Apple ID page. The user will need to click on "reset password", enter their Apple ID and click on "next".

After clicking, the user will go to the page where he will need to specify the key that should be obtained during the two-step verification setup. You will also need to specify the device to which the Apple verification code should be sent.

After entering this code, the user can freely change his old password and create a new one for himself, which would be better to write down somewhere.

In any case, if there is no way to recover the password from the old account, you need to contact support.

Conclusion

As a result, we can say that in order to create an account in iCloud, it will be enough to have a portable device, internet and email. After all, registration is quite simple and does not require much effort on the part of the user.

After registering, you must definitely set up an account to activate useful functions and configure the necessary parameters for yourself.

Also, if you have problems logging into iCloud, you can use different methods to recover your password, including contacting technical support.

E-mail has become for all of us not just a means of communication, but a tool necessary for the full use of the possibilities of the Internet. Without an email box, you cannot register on any portal, you cannot subscribe to the newsletter or log into an account to pay for purchases in online stores. Providing postal services for every company is an important part of the business, and that is why, as part of its iCloud cloud storage, Apple has also launched a service for receiving and sending e-mail, which we will talk about today.

Of course, the easiest way to use iCloud mail is from iOS devices. But mail icloud.com also supports login from a computer, and you can read incoming letters or make mailings directly from the browser window. The main thing is that the "Mail" application itself is active for your account, but we will talk about all such points in detail below.

Login to your account

To begin with, let's take a look at the simplest option of how to enter iCloud mail from a computer. If you already have an Apple ID account (read about signing in to iCloud with an Apple ID), and this identifier itself ends with addresses such as @ icloud.com, @ mac.com or @ me.com, then you just need:

  1. Open an internet browser.
  2. Enter icloud.com into the address bar and press the "Enter" key.
  3. Enter your login information in the appropriate fields, and then click on the button with the right arrow.

Important! If you used a different email address when registering your Apple ID (that is, if you did not receive a free address from Apple), then for each specific device you will need to enable the Mail application, which will be discussed below.

Also supports iCloud mail and login from a Windows-based computer through a special application. In order to use this program, you need:

  1. Open a browser and follow the link support.apple.com/ru-ru/HT204283.
  2. Click on the blue Download button.
  3. Confirm the download of the file and run it, following the instructions to install the software.

Enabling the Mail app for third-party mail

As described above, the iCloud mail service will not work by default if a mailbox, for example, gmail.com, was used to create the Apple ID. In other words, you can log into icloud.com mail from a computer without additional settings only with an email address from Apple. In other situations, you will need to perform a number of actions, the list of which is different for each of the devices used, namely:

  • on a tablet computer or smartphone with iOS, you need to open the settings, select the "iCloud" section, enable the "Mail" item, and then make the simplest settings for the email address, following the prompts;
  • on a MacOS X computer, open the Apple menu and go to the system settings section. In the "iCloud" section, select "Mail" and follow the setup instructions.

Important! You need to make these settings in order to be able to send mail through the iCloud service. The point is, this cannot be done without an address that ends with @ icloud.com or another approved domain. It is the fulfillment of the instructions above that will allow you to create such a mailbox for yourself in addition to what was used during registration.

check in

If you want to log into your iCloud account from a computer in order to only exchange mail, but you are not going to use this account as the only and main one, then you can simply register a new ID for yourself and get rid of the need to make any settings ... This is done as follows:

  1. Visit appleid.apple.com.
  2. Click on the "Create Apple ID" button.
  3. Complete the standard registration process by creating a new email address from Apple.

The very use of the mail service, I hope, will not cause you such difficulties as logging into iCloud mail from a computer. And the video below will help you not to get lost in all these forms and menu items. You can also read about data recovery using iCloud, and read about finding an iPhone using iCloud.

28.04.2018

It marked the emergence of another great service within iCloud for users of Apple technology - password synchronization using iCloud Keychain. Apple has gone to great lengths to make it easy to set up and use this feature, but our readers still have a lot of questions about this new product.

What can iCloud Keychain do?

ICloud Keychain offers:

This is why keeping access secure is extremely important and two-step validation is precisely designed for it, so it is very important that we activate it as soon as possible. After the data is recorded, click "Login". In the left menu click on "Password" and "Security".

If we don't have them, we can skip this step. After these initial checks, we must start with the configuration. We enter our mobile phone by clicking "Add phone number". A notification will appear on the screen of the device with a verification code that we have to enter on the Internet to verify it. In the second step, we will show our recovery key. This key should write it down in a safe place and never lose it. In case we have a problem with verification in two steps, it is imperative that he can access our account again.

  • sync logins, passwords and data from Safari forms
  • data synchronization
  • sync Wi-Fi passwords

Synchronization works on Macs running OS X 10.9, iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0.3. When you activate a keychain in iCloud, a single cloud storage is created in which ALL your passwords are collected. All of them are simultaneously available from all your devices connected to the same iCloud account.

At this point, you will ask us to enter our recovery key. This step serves to validate the correct key entry and problems due to problems with writing problems. If we agree, we must check the box to understand these terms and click the button Activate verification in two steps. To do this, we must follow these steps.

We click on the "Password" and "Security" option in the menu on the left, and then on the "Deactivate verification" option in two steps, which is in the lower right corner. You will ask us to submit three security questions, our date of birth and an alternative recovery email. This will be the data required to recover your password if we forget it or are blocked for any reason.

Please note - iCloud Keychain only works with Safari on Macs! For users of Chrome, Firefox or Opera, the new Apple feature is of little use, because there are no plugins that add support for these browsers and will not be. There are no alternatives to Safari on iOS in this case either.

Setting up iCloud Keychain on Mac for the first time

Let's say right away - for residents of Ukraine, Belarus and other CIS countries not listed in this list, activating Keychain Access from Mac is the only way to properly configure this function.

A popup will ask if we need to disable 2-Step Verification. If we really click the Deactivate button. Our recommendation is that we continue to actively validate in two steps on our devices whenever possible.

This means that anyone who takes over or corrects the account to change the password can access your personal information. Otherwise, we recommend that you change it as soon as possible to enable 2-Step Verification.

Enter your username and password. If you have any security questions, answer them. After successfully logging in, navigate to the Password & Security section on the left pane. The first option would be 2-Step Verification. Click "Start" to start configuring.

Open Mac settings, go to iCloud remote, turn on the "Keychain Access" checkbox:

Mac will insistently ask you to enable the password request from the user account immediately after waking up from sleep or unlocking the screen - of course, for added security. This suggestion can be ignored.

You will then be asked to create a Keychain PIN. By default, this is a four-digit number that you need to remember and enter when connecting each new device to your Keychain:

You will now see an explanation of what 2-step verification is. In the next window, you will see additional information explaining what validation is; Please note that if you forget your password, the process of recovering it will be long and tedious.

On the side of each device, you will see a "Check" legend. Select the one you want to check. After a few seconds, you must enter a 4-digit code on your mobile phone. Enter the code into your computer. On the website, you will see that your device is now verified. You can repeat the process with all the required devices.

But this is not necessary either. Pay attention to the "Advanced" button. It opens up several options regarding the PIN:

The first will allow the paranoid to set a code of any length using any characters, not just numbers. The second will generate the code automatically. The third will allow you to completely abandon the security code. But how will the confirmation of new devices take place in this case? It's very simple - using your other devices.

You will now be provided with a recovery code, which you need to print and store in a safe place. This code will ask you if you forgot your password or when you want to test a new computer, so it is very important that you save this code very well.

When you have copied this number, you must enter it to confirm that it is the same. A window will appear indicating that the process was successful. The advantage is that you no longer need to enter regular passwords every time you restore your system or network settings. Swipe over them to get the Activate button and slide the button to the right.

After creating or canceling a PIN, the setup will be completed.

The initial setup of Keychain on iOS is similar - go to the "Settings-iCloud" menu and enable the "Keychain" checkbox, and then create a PIN. The problem is that you will be forced to enter a mobile phone number, and from the CIS countries only Russia is supported.

What credit card information is stored in iCloud Keychain?

So, enter your password or create one if applicable. Is this the first time you do this setup on one of your devices? Then create a security code. Security requires this because this way you control which devices have access to your synced data. You must enter your code twice. If you decide to create a different password, do so using a combination of numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters.

Don't create easily accessible codes or passwords. Choose the option that works for you, tap it and follow the instructions. Enter your phone number or any other number you have access to to verify your identity. Note: write down your codes and passwords in a safe place and where you will have easy access in case you forget. Without your codes and passwords, you will be completely locked!

Now let's talk about connecting new devices to iCloud Keychain.

Connect a new iOS device to iCloud Keychain

Go to the "Settings-iCloud" menu already mentioned above and select the "Keychain" item:

Agree to enable the feature:

If you choose not to generate a security code, you must approve the configuration on each new device. Warning. This will delete all of your data. To configure, activate the "Contacts" and "Names and Passwords" buttons. Activate this last button, and you will be redirected to the interface in which to activate or not block by code. Scroll through the menu and activate the buttons you want.

But as soon as you share your account with another person, or change your smartphone regularly, the limit of ten registered devices is quickly reached and you must do your homework to delete the old ones. Scroll down to the My Devices group to see a list of authorized devices.

You will definitely need to enter your iCloud password:

After that, the Keychain will go into activation standby mode.

As we said, when adding a new device to your iCloud Keychain, you have two alternatives:

Click Cancel Authorization to remove your old smartphone, tablet, or computer. Confirm with "Cancel authorization". The list is boiled down to the actual devices used, so you can add new phones, tablets, or other devices.

Can't remove the device?

Press the cross of the line to de-authorize the device. The curious limit that a smartphone lover can block is being reset. On the device before it was lost. If you've set up family sharing, you can also remove devices from your family members. This ensures that you are the only person who can access your account, even if someone else knows your password. If you want to connect to a new device for the first time, you must provide two pieces of information: your password and a six-digit verification code that automatically appears on your trusted devices.

  • enter PIN
  • confirm connection from another device

On an iOS device, you will see a "Confirm with code" button, by clicking on which you can enter your PIN and immediately activate the function:

The fallback is confirmation from another device. As soon as you try to turn on iCloud Keychain on one of your devices, all other gadgets connected to the same iCloud account and the same Keychain will receive notifications:

By entering this code, you are confirming that the new device is secure. A confirmation code is only requested once for each new device, unless you completely disconnect from it, delete its data, or change your password for security reasons. If you access your account in a browser, you can approve your account so that you don't have to enter the code every time you connect.

Trusted phone numbers

It provides a verification code that can then be used to verify your identity when you access your account using a new device or browser. When activating two-factor authentication, you must provide at least one trusted number.

But this is not just a notification. By clicking on the banner, you will be taken to the iCloud settings, where you will be prompted to enter your account password as confirmation of consent to add a new device to your Keychain. After entering the password on any of your other devices, the new gadget is considered to be permanently connected, and password synchronization via iCloud Keychain will begin.

Enable two-factor authentication in settings

Enter and verify your trusted phone number

Enter the phone number you want to use to receive verification codes when you sign in.

Does iCloud Keychain technology work with third-party software?

Enter the verification code to verify your phone number and turn on two-factor verification. In this case, this feature is already enabled. If you are already using two-step verification and want to choose a safer method. If your account cannot benefit from the two factor IDs, you can still use the account to protect your information.

Connect your new Mac to iCloud Keychain

The process is identical to that described in the previous chapter of the review. You go to OS X Settings, iCloud Remote and turn on Keychain Access. Enter your iCloud password.

Information to Consider When Using Two-Factor Authentication

After enabling this feature, only those with a password, your devices, or trusted numbers can access your account. To keep your account as secure as possible and not lose access, follow these steps.

Updating the list of trusted numbers

  • Protect all devices with a passcode.
  • Update your trust numbers.
  • Store your trusted devices in a safe place.
To use two-factor authentication, you must provide at least one trusted phone number to receive verification codes.

Entering the PIN does not need any special explanations:

If you do not want to enter your PIN, the Mac will remain in activation standby mode:

It is quite difficult to miss the notification about the need to confirm a new device - in both OS X and iOS it will hang in plain sight:

You can change your trusted numbers by following these steps. In the "Security" section, click "Change". ... To add a number, click Add Trust Number and then enter the number. To remove a trusted number, click the icon next to it.

Trusted Device Management

Create passwords for applications

To do this, press the "Code" that is not received on the login screen, and then ask to send the code to a trusted number. If you are unable to connect, reset your password, or receive verification codes, follow the instructions. The account recovery option allows you to solve problems connecting to your account, protecting your account from unauthorized access. Depending on the information you can provide to verify your identity, it may take several days before you can access your account again.

Apple devices are known to support two-step authentication. This security method performs at least two authentication checks — a password and a trusted device — to access an account.

Do I still need to memorize security issues?

With two-factor authentication, there is no need to select or remember security concerns. Your identity is verified solely by your password and verification codes sent to your trusted devices and phone numbers. When you enable two-factor authentication, we save your old security questions for two weeks in our files if you need to set up your account with the previous security settings. They are removed after two weeks.

Two-step, or as it is also called, two-factor authentication (2FA) provides reliable data protection, since its passage requires not only knowledge of the password, but also physical access to one of the keys, in our case it is an iPhone or iPad.

Needless to say, we strongly recommend that you use it on any account you can. Moreover, if the service does not support 2FA, you should think twice before using it if the security of your data is important to you.

If two-step verification is enabled on your Apple ID (which, in an amicable way, you should do), then you most likely met with a window that asks you to confirm that you are the owner of this account. This screen should list some of your Apple devices and at least one verified phone number. These devices act as access keys.

Have you ever wondered what requirements the devices on the list should meet? Or maybe you had to add or remove a device from this list? In this tutorial, we will walk you through the management of trusted devices for 2FA.

How to add a trusted device

To add a device as one of the authentication keys, you just need to turn on Find My iPhone on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. As soon as you enable the function, the device will automatically be added to the trusted list. After that, you will need to confirm the addition of this device.

Step 1: Sign in to iCloud and turn on Find iPhone on the device you want to trusted in Settings\u003e iCloud.

Step 2: In Safari, login to My Apple ID, go to Password & Security\u003e

Step 4: This device will receive a four-digit confirmation code.

Enter this code in the field that appears in Safari and click Verify device.

Now you can make sure that the device is verified as trusted. Now, whenever you need to use two-step authentication to login to your Apple ID, you can use this device as a key.

How to remove a trusted device

Unsurprisingly, devices can also be removed from the trusted list. When you sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone, your device is no longer trusted, but it still appears in the list as possibly trusted.

Step 1: Turn off Find My iPhone.

Step 2: In Safari, log into My Apple ID, go to Password & Security\u003e Add or Remove Trusted Device.

Confirm the deletion.

That, in general, is all. In this way, trusted two-step identification devices are added and removed. You will often work with this list, especially if you like to constantly log out of your accounts and use different devices.
