But if you prohibit saving in the "History" block, then all information about the session (visited pages, data typed in forms and cookies) will be destroyed after the application is closed. In fact, this is an analogue of private mode. Useful when working on someone else's computer. Items of the "Protection" tab are designed to secure the user on the Web. You should not disable them (except for the "Master Password", this is at your discretion). The "Advanced" tab allows you to make the browser the main one ("System - By default"). All checkboxes must be checked in the "Browse sites" section: this makes working with sites more convenient. The item "Data selection" is intended to support developers: in case of failures, data is transmitted to Firefox servers, where it is analyzed, and measures are taken to eliminate errors in future versions. With the "Updates" tab, special questions usually do not arise: failure, manual and automatic modes. But in "Network - Settings" you can register ports and addresses when working through a proxy server (local or network).

You can and should customize the browser for yourself. All regular changes cannot harm the browser: in any case, it will work effectively. Even if you notice that the performance is not the same after tuning, you can always return the program to its original state using the restore option.
- Click on the three-bar icon in the browser bar on the right.

How to open hidden Firefox settings?

Step 1: lower your RAM consumption
The browser can take up a lot of RAM. How can I configure my browser so that it needs less memory to work? We open the hidden menu.
1.Create a new parameter. Right-click on a free area to not grab any parameter. In the context menu "Create" - "Boolean".
2. Write the phrase: config.trim_on_minimize in the line.
3.Set the value True and click on OK.
4. In the search bar, write browser.sessionstore.interval.
5.Increase the value 15000 to 50000 or 100000. Double click on the item "Value" and enter the desired number.
6.Next, find the parameter browser.sessionhistory.max_entries. Here you need, on the contrary, to reduce the value to 20. The parameter means the number of future and previous actions that the user can do in the browser. If you change this setting, the amount of RAM that your browser consumes will also decrease.
7.If you click on the "Back" button and the browser immediately launches the previous page, this means that the program removes the required amount from the RAM for the user's actions. This volume can also be reduced. How? Find the browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers setting. Put 2 instead of -1 in the "Value" column.
8. Typically, the browser remembers up to 10 closed tabs. It also affects the amount of memory consumed. The browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo parameter is responsible for closed tabs. Open it up. Put 5 instead of 10.

1. Make a new parameter again via "New" - "Boolean". Name it like this: browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone. Set it to False. So you deactivate the antivirus scan of those files that enter the system through this browser. Of course, you run the risk of downloading and using infected software. Keep this in mind.
2.To make the program consume less system memory, you must also turn off geolocation. Search for geo.enabled and set it to False.
3. Find accessibility.typeaheadfind. The value must be False. Thus, the browser will not waste resources on displaying search queries that you have previously entered in this browser.
4. The browser itself by default loads its own icon for each site. Type two parameters into the search: browser.chrome.site_icons and browser.chrome.favicons. Set it to False again.
5. Firefox displays a list of suggested URLs that you can go to as you enter keywords into the navigation bar. If you don't need this option, search for network.prefetch-next and set it to False.
As you can see, even a beginner can customize Mozilla Firefox. It is enough to carefully study the standard settings. However, it is not recommended for him to get into the hidden settings menu, where configuration information is stored. This menu expands your customization options.
