At the turn of the century and at the dawn of the new millennium, the Microsoft developer company was more fruitful than ever: the world saw a number of newly minted operating systems of the Windows XP line of various modifications. Some consider this scattering of operating systems as a series of experiments with functionality and an interface, with the help of which the company sought to find out the most attractive features, the most popular functions and all the promising directions for the development of this line.
It is difficult to judge how this opinion is true, however, it definitely has a rational grain - after all, the Windows XP Professional that appeared on the market as a result became the most successful hybrid of all the advantages that it got from two popular branches, NT / 2000 and 9x / Me. Although Microsoft officially canceled XP support back in 2013, it still remains one of the most popular axes in the world.
